Went for Valentines day with no reservation. Got seated relatively quickly. Service was great. Food came out quick and delicious. Went back again 2 days later for lunch. Lunch prices are hard to beat. The Sashimi is cut extra thick, so you definitely get your money’s worth.

This is definitely a worth going SUSHI place in Fitchburg, MA! Their fishes used are of high quality and flavorful. The sushi chef has a passion for creating such edible art and many of their sushi and sashimi combinations are so mouth-watering. There are also different poke bowls and appetizers created exclusively at Yamato. It was a great place for sushi lovers!

Had a fantastic meal with my boyfriend here the other night. The service was awesome! Sushi chef offered a free complimentary appetizer and our server was very kind and attentive! Yamato is a good choice that’s been in business quite awhile and seems to have a steady flow of customers (which is important when fresh ingredients are necessary, e.g. with sushi). Our most recent visit was on a Tuesday night. The dining room was about 75% full and there was a constant stream of takeout orders coming in for pickup. The staff was friendly and helpful and the food was done relatively quickly given how busy they were. The sushi is a solid B+ in my opinion. There aren’t any A options nearby so we go here for a quick night out with the kids. My biggest qualm is when a sushi place uses really small chopped up pieces in a spicy tuna roll and it’s mushy. This is not my preferred presentation of this dish. That’s how they do it here which is why it’s not 5 stars for me. But overall I really enjoy this place. We do not get hibachi here, just sushi.
