I literally cannot…our waiter was so sweet, funny, and personable. We weren’t rushed, we were served our food in a reasonable and timely manner. At the end, we were given free deep fried oreos and these sweet little bubble gum packets. Definitely coming back. Vegetarian rolls are also an option and would definitely come with vegetarian friends. Loved it

Definitely our go-to place for sushi in northern Baltimore. The food is fresh, the flavors are spot on and they always give you something a little extra for desert (my favorite is the fried Oreo). Don’t be fooled by the strip mall center location – to food is very good.

Overrated, bland, not worth $11 each. Was in the mood for sushi, asked Google for a recommendation for sushi nearby. Got 2 orders of combo Shrimp tempura roll & California roll sushi lunches, came with side of lettuce with some orange colored sauce-sweet ginger dressing?? Shrimp tempura was not fresh, tasted like it was re-fried, batter was very hard. The roll appeared to be a piece of fried shrimp wrapped in rice, seaweed, no avocado or cucumber with a spread of some brown/orange colored sauce on top. Each order of sushi had 8 small pieces. Will not be returning to this place.

Absolutely delicious and the best customer service we have received in a long time. We’ve been in the Cockeysville area for over five years and stumbled upon this place when trying to scout out places we’ve never tried. The food is amazing. If your partner or friend is vegetarian or sushi isn’t usually their thing…. Head over here now!!! So many i options. Garlic edamame is a must. We will be back for sure – best sushi in the area!

Yamato is our favorite sushi spot in the area! Our family has been getting sushi for holiday dinners here for years. I like that the sushi roll pieces aren’t huge so that they are bite size and easy to eat. I can order Yamato takeout when I leave work and it is ready 12 min later when I come to pick it up. The fish is super fresh and always nice and cold. They don’t package hot food with raw sushi, they use a separate bag, which is something I greatly appreciate from a sushi place for food safety. They have a ton of special rolls, I like the Tiffany roll with spicy tuna, cream cheese, and a special sauce, it’s amazing. I also really like the Tokyo roll. We highly recommend Yamato!

Yamato is not a secret. We went on a Saturday evening around 7:00 and the place was jumping. You would be well advised to get a reservation. Despite the crowd, service was quick and the food as always, was excellent.

Not the experience I was hoping for given the 4.5+ ratings. Freshness of the fish was on point, however the construction of most rolls was subpar. Drunken noodles were not great, it was more of a Lo Mein with undercooked noodles.
