I enjoy international food. Was surprised to see the prices on door dash, read reviews and decided to try. I got to hotel in Miami after 11p and food was delivered quickly by 12:30. It’s AMAZINGLY GOOD! I ordered the Carne Asada. No sauces or seasoning needed and my steak is perfectly charred, nothing Iike the reviewer who experienced a fatty steak or subpar food. Had to leave a review for those looking to try something different. The plantains, the fried cheese (never had), are all good! Oh and there is plenty for me to finish up if I don’t make it to breakfast in the AM! Great portions for the cost. Really don’t think it can be beat for non- fast food.

This fritanga used to be good but it is now probably the worst fritanga in all of Miami. Eat at your own risk. I bought 2 nacatamales and one of them was rotten. It smelled so bad I don’t know how they could sell something like that. The meat in the Carne Asada also had a weird taste and smell (not my first rodeo since I’m Nica). The only good thing was the queso frito, tajadas, gallo pinto, and the salad. Upon paying, she asked if I wanted some chile, and I said, YES PLEASE. She still forgot to put any in the bag. Unreal. If you’re Nica like me, you know you want your chilito with your food. Service was ok but slow. I have been to this location since the 90s, but times have changed. I will never return to this establishment. Way better fritangas or Nica restaurants in the area.

The family and I went for Father’s Day and the experience wasn’t great. The food isn’t authentic and are cutting corners, tacos without the cooked salad that does on top, refrigerator cold salpicón. Plastic utensils, menu wi/o prices. Pinol, the most traditional drink isn’t on the menu. The decorations are 50% Nicaraguan, and the rest is Mexican, Cuban and other countries. If you’re looking to have authentic Nicaraguan experience, this isn’t the place honestly.

They’ve gotten more expensive than other similar restaurants and their portions have gotten smaller. The steak was dry and with little flavor. Tables outside were dirty with bird poop.

As a historic landmark in Miami is worth the visit to learn about the struggle of the Nicaraguan community against the regime, but not for a good meal unfortunately. I ordered a carne asada and I was expecting a sizzling steak, instead got a piece of meat that was cooked probably a couple of hours earlier. Big difference. Of course was dry. Seems like they cook for the big take out window at the front and not for patrons in the restaurant. The boiled yuca was just overcooked and mashed. Neither had a great taste. The 4 leches was also disappointing ✅
