Yasuda quickly became my go-to sushi spot shortly after moving to Kingston back in 2019. They’ve always been an extremely reliable place on all accounts; it’s great to dine-in and get delivered, either method they always present their delicious sushi in a really neat display. The staff has always been really friendly and through the years have recognized my business there and they really uphold a strong sense of community and comfort through their restaurant. As someone who has a sensitivity to shrimp but loves shellfish and sushi, I have never had an issue with cross-contamination or anything. It’s always been a safe and satisfying place to get really delicious sushi.

My friend, who is a regular customer, had placed an order by phone. I went to pick it up and the place was empty. First, they couldn’t find the order. Then, they finally did and explained that it would be just a few minutes, in other words it was not ready. I explained that I was in a hurry because we were on our way to the airport. Half of the employees were having lunch and nobody was very interested in moving things along. I spoke to the owner who was only slightly apologetic and blamed technology. Long story short, after about 25 minutes, I finally left with the food. The food itself was fine but for that kind of mess up, I would have expected something more than a half hearted apology. No worries, we will not be back.

The toro was absolutely divine. So much so I ordered a second serving, both were very lightly seared per request followed by a Toro sushi roll. Washed down with some dry saki. Most pleased.

I had a wonderful time going to yasuda. My friend invited me out to lunch with her today and she took me here to yasuda. It is such a nice ambience here and everyone was so kind, warm, inviting, and friendly. They really know how to talk to you and make you feel very welcomed. The food was delicious and very fresh and tasty. It was also so affordable! I will definitely come here again. Top sushi in town for me.

My wife & I recently saw Buddy Guy at the Performing arts center and made reservations to dine here. Having lived in NYC and dined at many fine restaurants, We both agree, this place is top notch. I had the Beef Teriyaki diner box and my wife had the Chicken. Excellent, everything in the box was excellent, the tempura, sushi, shumai. We were both very pleased. Even the Miso soup that came with it, and the salad the dressing was excellent. The entire presentation of the meal, very good. Service was good, the waitress were nonstop action and the hostess had an excellent, how to say it, she was just ‘aware’ of everything and so nice.. What a wonderful dining experience. The house Saki could have been a bit hotter, but I’m not gonna hold that against them. This Place was hopping pre-show, so if you are attending any concert/show at the arts center, I’d recommend you get a reservation, there were people waiting …

Hands down the best sushi I’ve had in Hudson valley. Ive tried several places and this is the best. My husband agrees. It’s kind of a hole in the wall- not fancy in the least, but you really won’t mind!

Small Japanese restaurant, but don’t let the size fool you. Their sushi was amazing! I called ahead and placed an order to go. Very little wait time. Hostess met me as I walked in. I arrived early, and my food was already done. Would definitely go back next time I’m in the area. Parking is in the rear of building with a 30 second walk to the front door.
