The food was AMAZING. Egg rolls were crispy. Not greasy. Vegetable lo mein was probably the best I’ve had. The boneless spare ribs were true spare ribs,tasty, huge pieces,and not fatty. Made like traditional BBQ ribs. Just boneless and not the candy like taste of the usual restaurant fare. Finally the beef and mixed vegetables was very tasty. All portions were generous and the food is fresh and delicious.

Not sure if it’s new ownership or staff change but the food has gone downhill over the years. This last year or two has been the worst it’s ever been. Shrimp in the egg rolls tastes and smells funny and is chewy and hard. The chicken fingers taste off nothing tastes fresh anymore. Not seasoned properly. I feel like it’s all Premade, frozen and kept frozen way over it’s time limit and sold as is. Sad because this was a local Plantsville go to for Chinese food.

I have loved Yi Hing over the years but whatever happened today? Not sure if there’s a new cook staff? I got a special combo plate….boneless ribs with fried rice and an egg roll. Every single thing was so dried up, I needed a lot of liquid to get it down! What’s up Yi Hing? very disappointed

I haven’t tried the other options like the chicken fingers, but I know their fried chicken, general tso, fried rice,etc. have been pretty decent for a while now. Plus it’s easier to order. I always order here for parties if I need a whole tray of fried rice, lo mein, and chicken wings.
