Nice ambiance, contemporary interior, attentive services. Tried the 2023 Houston Restaurant Week lunch ($25/pax, 2 courses). The crispy spring rolls are delicious. Dipping sauce well-made. The braised beef is good; the lad-na noodle slightly salty.

Kicked off 2023 Houston Restaurant Week at Yi Peng. I had two friends join me, so we decided to try a couple different things on the dinner menu and share.

Beautiful Thai restaurant in the City Center area. They sat us down quickly, there is plenty of seating, clean and nice design throughout. Our serveywas nice and quick with getting our orders, the drinks were delish and the food we ordered came out in a timely manner, tasted fresh and had ton of flavor! Definitely coming back.

We loved the cozy atmosphere at Yi Peng. Service was also commendable especially having to accommodate a large group. Their softshell crab and calamari for appetizer were exceptional. For the main, everything was good. Our favorites were the fried rice, braised short ribs (Nuea Siam), Curry short ribs ( Kang Hung Lay), and Pad Si-ew. The beef short ribs were flavorful and melts-in-your-mouth tender. The dishes that were a bit lacking were the Pad Thai (it was bland, nothing a few drops of fish sauce can’t fix), chicken wings, and the panang curry (lacks depth of flavor you normally get in a curry). Nonetheless, this will be one of our go to places for Thai food.

Love Yi Peng’s! It’s one of my favorite places to dine. The Pla Sam Ros (whole red fish) is a definite must-try, and the heavenly beef too was yum. The duck curry was really good too. Service is always top-notch.

Yi Peng is our new Thai restaurant to go to eat excellent food near where we live. This is our third time here. The first time a customer said he really admired the waiter’s shirt and they gave him one. This restaurant has exquisite food, great service, and Thai atmosphere. The veggie spring rolls are the best we tasted in the USA. My wife said they taste like Venezuelan lumpia. The chicken is moist and delicious. The shrimp dish was great. Give it a try.

Nice place. My whole red snapper was just ok. The fish body appeared to be previously processed and separated from the meat. It was hard as a rock. The fillet chunks were ok.

Went here for dinner and our server was very nice. The portions of the food were pretty small. The food was alright, nothing very memorable. The interior of the restaurant was very nice.

This is a great place for Thai food! OMG every dish was so flavorful and delicious. Ambiance of the place is also very nice. I had the noodles with beef and veggies. My friend’s dish was a soup with duck which was also very good. Overall a very nice place to enjoy Asian food.
