Last time I was in Allentown it was 2019. I’ve been dreaming of Yocco’s ever since. How sad I was that I came in and my hot dogs had been on the grill too long, chilli was dried out and my bun was cold and crusty.

Yocco’s to this day keeps its reputation as the Hot Dog King of the Lehigh Valley! The quality of their hot dogs is unmatched, they come out piping hot, they’re made very quickly, and they also sell fries, burgers, cheesesteaks, and pierogies. My fiancé is in love with their pierogies and always asks to go there when we visit the area lol.

Yocco’s is always on top of their game and what I mean by that is that they operate like a fine tuned machine consistently preparing awesome food for their customers!

The place is ok. It’s very old school and dirty inside. Not unclean, just worn out and greasy. The steak sandwich was good but more bread then meat. The chili fries gave me a stomach ache but tasted good. Didn’t try the hotdogs. I did notice the first time I went here the steak sandwich was 5.75. the next week I went and it was 7.25 for the same sandwich on the same menu board behind the counter. I bought it anyhow.

For reasonable price, fast and friendly service, and delicious food, this is a clear five star. Now, if you are expecting linen tablecloths and recipes with French names as your definition of five star, you will want to pass. This is hot dogs and diner food served on a tray, but, man, it was delicious. We stopped and got two dogs with everything (chili sauce, mustard, and chopped onions in a dream of a steamed bun), a side of pierogis, and chocolate milk, and we left happy and full. We’ll, my wife may have gone back for another side of pierogis, and THEN we were full. This review is not for anyone in Allentown because you already know how good Yocco’s is, but, if you haven’t been and are coming through the area, make a plan to stop. Plenty of parking and very accessible, with options for speci dietary needs available. From the vibe to the staff to most importantly the delicious food, I’d put this with the fanciest of Michelin star restaurants in true satisfaction any day.

Worst hotdogs I’ve ever had. Bought 2, threw away 1 1/2. They are deep fried nearly into hotdog jerky. They put way too much mustard and barely any onions. The bun was all dried out, and one end was hard. At this point, I’m just praying the 2 bites I took of the first one don’t make me sick. I wouldn’t eat here again if it was free. Not even if they were paying me to eat there. Hard pass.

If you’re from Allentown you already know Yocco’s has been serving the best hot dogs for 90 years. No visit to my hometown is complete without two with everything and a side of pierogies.

I’ve been going to yocco’s I go at least once a week for lunch and Tim the manager said to me the other day twice this week. over 50 years since 1972 when I got my first hot dog and I’ve been going ever since that’s why they’re the king of the hot dogs. And if you Google Pennsylvania’s number one hot dog it’s yoccos

Yoccos is what it is. Most people from the Valley seem to really like their dogs, but I’m not from here. They do a lot of business because when I go there’s always a lot of people. If you don’t mind a shriveled dog on a shriveled bun and very little dried chilli, then buy all means Yoccos is your place.

100 years of practice makes these the best hotdogs around, they taste as good as I remember when I was growing up in Allentown.A well done dog with cheese famous chili sauce, mustard and onions on a steamed roll. Philly has the cheese steak and Allentown has the Yocco dog’s. I’m so glad they kept the tradition going.yum get in my belly lol.
