The parking lot was packed when we got there but someone was pulling out so we got their spot. It was a cold day so it was nice not having to walk so far. The restaurant was quite busy when we walked in, they gave us a buzzer so we headed to the gift shop to look around while we waited. It gave us time to go to the bathroom too before being seated.

Place was packed as usual. Had about a 45min wait so we perused the gift shop and sat outside by the gazebo until our hockey pack lit up. Was confused when we got seated near the back and 1/2 of the tables were empty. Place was as clean as could be expected when that busy. Utensils were spotless as was the bathroom which was one of the nicest I’ve been in for a “country kitchen” themed restaurant. We did the buffet and the lines (double-sided buffet) were extensive. There was 1 bucket for fried chicken, their top seller by far, and they couldn’t keep it full. Our amazing server was awesome and she went to the kitchen and grabbed our request right from the fryer. It’s good, down-home country cooking. Plain and simple. No thrills, just good, stick to your ribs kinda eating. Same with the atmosphere having a basic Amish type theme to it that I felt could’ve been played up better.

We always visit Arthur and Arcola when in the area. We came up on Yoder’s and decided to give it a try. We almost left when we seen how busy they were. So glad we stayed! The food was so good! My daughter and I had the buffet and I definitely recommend the fried chicken. The place was clean and welcoming and our service from our server, Connie, was phenomenal. The restrooms were even top notch! We visited the gift shop and definitely took home some Amish Bread, Amish Peanut Butter and Apple Butter. We will definitely be back!

Discovered this gem a year ago, by a friend’s recommendation of “don’t miss” when visiting Arthur. This is our second visit here and it doesn’t disappoint! The broasted chicken (among many other things) is delicious. Always hard to know if places like this are authentic, but whether it is or isn’t, the food is great! Also a very large and nice gift shop, plus small bakery counter and some additional food items for purchase.
