A hidden gem in Flushing among fancier Japanese restaurants, Yoi Sushi serves excellent fish, ramen, and other Japanese dishes at unbeatable prices. Dine in for their $1 per sashimi slice/nigiri sushi special (cash only + $20 min order from regular menu), which is an incredible deal! Their fish tastes extremely fresh and they are very generous with the portions. Their ikayaki (grilled squid), takoyaki, black garlic oil tonkotsu ramen and miso ramen are also delicious.

Completely unimpressed! I ordered on their website for pickup in 1 hour. 10 minutes after placing the order I got a text saying my order was done. I had to stop what I was doing and rush to the restaurant to pick up my food. The shumai and gyoza were completely average. Both had a heavy, greasy fry. The specialty sushi roll I ordered was good but small for the price. Overall, I was completely unimpressed.

A cozy little Japanese restaurant that gets your order out in a hurry. Everything we ordered came out reasonably fast, super fast to say the least. The lunch time bento box is a good deal, but the pork katsu was kind of dry. The Yuzu red snapper was a better choice.
