Inspired by Japanese izakaya, Yokai is a meeting place for friends to catch up and have a few laughs in a casual setting while enjoying crisp beers, cool cocktails, refreshing sakes, warming whisky, and a variety of small plates to complement the drinks.

Finally visited Yokai after their buzz-worthy pop-ups. The ambiance, with its colored lights and mythical creature decor, feels like a Tokyo gastropub right in downtown Greensboro. Though the menu is simple, every item is tempting. Loved our protein-centric choices but spotted appealing salads and veg options. If you’re a fan of Machete, Yokai offers a refreshing new dining concept from the same team. Can’t wait to return as they expand their offerings!
