16+ years same owner means the food is legit to me. had the Tea leave salad, Shan Noodle and the Fish noodle. did a food review and a great interview with the owner on my yt channel. check it out. owner Joan’s story about her restaurant is the stuff of legend. and she so funny too.

The food was delicious and fresh without being overly heavy, sugary, or pretentious. The ambience here made me nostalgic for my home. The owner was also very welcoming. The Burmese tea was also so tasty. Would love to visit again if given the chance.

I don’t usually like Shan noodles but this little place surprised me. I even went back the very next day for another round. It’s so delicious.

This was my first experience of Burmese food and it was amazing! The flavors are strong, yet delicate, and very well balanced between savory, salt, sour, sweet, and umami. The owner, Joanne, is so hospitable. It felt like we were at her house. She gave us an extra rice and dessert for free. Must order: fermented tea leaf salad, mohinga (fish soup), shan noodle, goat curry, and samosa (flaky wrapper).

Had a great experience trying Burmese cuisine in Asia, and I kinda missed that. I was pretty excited to find Yoma Myanmar through yelp! It took us some time to figure it out what to order, some dishes are only available during the weekend, but the owner was nice, she offered other suggestions that turned out to be really good.

Food is amazing and authentic. Try their tofu noodles which is only offered on the weekends. The owner is really friendly and gave us free dessert to wrap up the night. Great price and menu selection!

Trying Burmese food for the first time. My mother and I were vegetarians, and the staff were very accommodating of our request. We ordered the fried bayar (falafel), Burmese tofu, Shan noodle salad, papaya salad, and tea leaf salad. All were very flavorful and had a good amount of spice, reminiscent of both Indian and Thai food. The waitresses were very nice and gave us free coconut jelly. A must try in the San Gabriel Valley!

The food took long to prepare but it was worth the wait. It was a traditional, home-style cooking which was very delicious. The owner was very friendly and nice. She hooked us up with extras and gave us some coconut jelly on the house.

Great experience at this Burmese restaurant. Owner, Joanne, was very friendly. Ordered chicken, beef, prawn curry lunch combo with mohinga soup, tea leaf salad and fried vegetable with chile sauce. Side condiment was fried bulachoun. (Not sure of spelling) Food was tasty. Fried vegetable was delicious with Chile sauce. Batter was light. Not greasey or old oil taste. Curry mixed with rice, tea leaf salad and bulachoun was excellent. Food proportions good. Prices reasonable. We will return!
