My family and I came here while visiting white lake NC, drove about an hour from our rental house. It was definitely worth the drive!! My husband and I love sushi and trying a different sushi place everywhere we visit, if I’m ever back in this area I will definitely come to this sushi place again! The waitress was so friendly and accommodating to our kids and was very upbeat and helpful to us. The food was wonderful and fresh but fast!! The restaurant seemed very clean and had a wonderful atmosphere.

I’ll start off by saying the sushi is good. Been getting takeout sushi here for years without disappointment but today was the first (and last) time I order anything else. My girlfriend got the steak teriyaki (pictured) which came out completely raw and was sent back. I eat rare steaks on the regular and even I wouldn’t take a second bite of it. Did not taste good either. I got the chicken hibachi which one would think would be hard to mess up, but think again! Chicken was over cooked and dry and not a single bit of seasoning on the entire dish. Pretty sure they didn’t even put soy sauce on it when they cooked it. Noodles were bland, vegetables were unflavored rubber. I ended up taking it in a to-go box where I brought it home and fixed it myself. Waiter also didn’t have our order right but that was the least of my worries. Save your money and time and just get a pack of instant noodles. Or sushi.

This was a really terrible experience. My husband’s sushi was room temperature, and my sweet potato tempura sushi was cold and had almost no sweet potato in it. When my daughter’s kids meal came out (shrimp and rice), I was shocked that it was almost all onions and a few, very over cooked shrimp. Then, when I finally got my chicken teriyaki, I couldn’t believe there could possibly be more onions at our meal. But alas, I had a GIANT plate of onions topped with chewy chicken and almost no teriyaki sauce. Never in my life have I seen chicken teriyaki served on a heaping bed of onions. We talked to the owner, and he gave only a discount and insisted that the food is good. It was so bad that it was inedible. We left it uneaten on the table and went to Islands instead.

I’ll preface by saying I’m not a seafood eater, nor am I a sushi eater. I’ve been experimenting trying different sushi rolls from different places, trying to expand my palette. I’ve tried sushi from only a few places in Wilmington so far, but currently this is my favorite place to go! I’ve stopped in 3 weeks in a row to get sushi and it’s amazing every time. The wait staff is attentive and polite. This will continue to be my “sushi spot” for a while.

Food is made fresh daily! Sushi rolls are hand rolled by the owner and his family all day every day! Made to order! Authentic! Health score of 97 A posted at the front door! Fish tank is nice to look at when your first walk in though goldfish are hard to maintenance so the aquariums are never clear even though the tank is maintenanced by a professional company monthly. Friendly customer service! Laid back and clean atmosphere with a full bar and patio seating available! Ramen bowls, sushi and hibachi meals are all delicious! Some of the reviews I’ve seen on here must have been on a bad day or the person making the post wasn’t as observant as they thought. Only fresh food here! Family owned and operated. All sauces made from scratch as well! Delicious!

This was an excellent experience! There was plenty of seating, our waitress was so sweet and attentive, and the food was delicious! I was so shocked not to see more people there on a Saturday night! If you love sushi, you NEED to try this place! They also have ramen bowls, hibachi, teriyaki, and bento boxes! You’ll have to excuse my seaweed salad as I had already eaten half before I remembered to snap a picture. This place is also SUPER affordable! Definitely give it a try!
