Yu noodles is always one of my go to spots and favorite restaurants at the moment. I always have a good meal here. I came for dinner on Friday. The restaurant isn’t too big and get quite busy during peak hours. Service is prompt and food comes out pretty quickly after ordering. I always get a couple of items per person when I come as the portions are not too big. The items that I always get is the scallion pancake, pan fried pork buns and the Chongqing noodles. The buns have that perfect crisp and are juicy inside. The noodles have an additive salty spicy combination! The cucumber water they give helps quench your thirst as well.

Delicious and authentic Chinese noodles and amazing service! Love the black stick mango dessert. The soup was very flavourful and the noodles are perfect. Will definitely be coming back again!

This little noodle and dimsum joint was a treat. The dry spicy noodles with minced pork hit the spot and the peppercorn soup dumplings were tasty and unique. My only knock was there was one male employee who was a bit rude with a couple of the female servers, who were very kind, accomodating and gave great service. I hope that he realizes not every place is as lucky to have good servers.

I’ve been wanting to give this place a try and can’t wait to get back. Since I was there by myself I didn’t get to try a lot, but I tried. I started with the pan fried pork dumplings. The dumpling skin was great and the sauce added a great extra kick. The pan fried steamed buns were also delicious. Fluffy top, crispy bottom. I did try to take a bite right away and they came out fresh and hot… So give them a minute. Last I finished with the chicken and scallion oil noodles. The toppings are cold and went well mixed in with the hot noodles. Savory and a bit sweeter than expected, but in a good way.

This place was recommended by a few Cantonese friends. We ordered there dishes and pork soupy dumpling. We all thought the dumplings were good. We all enjoyed our meals allot and we’re presently surprised. You can ask for more or less spice if you can’t take the heat. Over all nice spot to go for that fix.

Great XLB, I don’t know where else in NoVA you can do better. So if you don’t want to trek to Rockville, Yu noodles is great!

We always get the pan fried buns and cucumber in garlic sauce. I usually switch between the fish noodles soup (it has picked vegetables, so I enjoy the sour and savory tastes), or the Chongqing noodles. Another item we usually order are the soup dumplings – they are pretty good in this area.

I’ve been dining at this place since their opening in Fairfax, and this place is hands down the best noodle place in town. I’m glad they survived through Covid because this place is irreplaceable.

Small restaurant, but the food is great. I took a bite at the fried egg before I took one of the photos, oops.
