This place is great. The menu is small, but everything is tasty. It’s a part of my weekly routine. Tantamen + extra egg + chashu & extra fire crunch, okonomiyaki + chashu, the spicy kaarage (triple fried chicken), and spicy addictive cabbage!! That puts me in my happy place. You’ll enjoy everything, and the people are nice too. Place your order, and go enjoy a walk through the historic district of Sanford. There are usually events on Saturdays somewhere.

Yugiri Ramen Project has great food! It’s located inside Henry’s Depot just west of Downtown Sanford, and there is a great atmosphere here! We came around 4 pm on a Sunday and it wasn’t busy at all, though I imagine this place will get much busier later in the day. They have lots of different ramen options (hence the name) but we opted to try their okonomiyaki! If you don’t know what that is, it’s a Japanese pancake with lots of different ingredients, and most traditionally it has octopus, but Yugiri Ramen Project doesn’t have that. Instead, you can opt to have it without any meat/seafood, or for an additional charge, add pork belly. We didn’t add the pork belly to it, and it was still really good! It tasted almost as good as the okonomiyaki I’ve had in Japan, so very impressive!! I only recommend the shop to offer an octopus version in the future – that would take it to the next level!! Definitely will be returning!

Awesome ramen, awesome people and one of the best spots to eat it in downtown sanford. everything is always perfect, every time! don’t miss out! They also have liquid death and a variety of Japanese sodas. Also, vegan friendly.

My husband and I are here tonight and it blew us away! Both of our dishes were absolutely delicious! We love trying mom and pop restaurants that have unique foods, and they checked off all the boxes for us! We both said we couldn’t wait to come back again even if it’s with the kids.

Tried the Okonomiyaki and at first I was a bit sketched cause it had a funky smell. The bonito flakes were really putting off a fishy smell. However, after trying it, it was fantastic. Sweet, Tangy, and Savory. My only critique is that is need a crunchy element to it and some heat. Adding some texture and heat would make this dish an 11/10. It still is great as it is and absolutely worth a try.
