We were hoping this place would outdo their dim sum competitor so we wouldn’t have to travel far anymore. I’ve read other bad reviews and was a little hesitant trying it out. However, it wasn’t too bad.

So happy there’s a dim sum spot in Kenner! I went twice, and every time is when they open up for the day. Each time I arrived, they always have a decent amount of people already eating! That’s when you know the place is good…when there’s at least 3-5 tables full of people when the restaurant only opened up for 5 minutes!! The servers are so nice and very respectful. They smile and are patient while you decide what to order. Their menu is pretty big and offers lots of selections. I really love their roast pork buns, shumai, and Chinese broccoli. Do not get their wonton soup. Tasted mediocre like Campbell’s chicken noodle soup, not like the traditional Asian wonton soup (nothing against Campbell’s – it’s just not what I expected when I order from an Asian restaurant). Overall, this is a pretty nice spot to eat some dim sum if you’re on this side of town.

We came in for dinner looking for Chinese but was surprised that they offered dim sum! And in Kenner! So we order nothing but dim sum. All of it was delicious and freshly cooked to order, no carts here. We will definitely be coming back.

Yummy indeed! Couldn’t even snap a photo before we had devoured a good amount of the delicious dim sum dishes we ordered. Really enjoyed the radish cakes, sticky rice, rice noodles. Very good. We don’t have many places like this in New Orleans so I was very happy to have really enjoyed this meal.

This place is fantastic. The most authentic Chinese restaurant in JP. If you eat run of the mill Chinese, you won’t recognize many of the items. Examples are rice and pork steamed in lotus leaves and pea shoots and shrimp in a potato starch dumpling. Chicken feet. Specials board is in Chinese. Fantastic if you are an adventurous eater. When you order you can hear the gas wok start. Also. Very clean. Great service.

Yummy House was a pleasant surprise. The New Orleans area lacks authentic Chinese cuisine and I found it here. The Pho xao thit bo was the best version of the dish I’ve ever had. I enjoyed the meal so much I let the waitstaff bring me out their next favorite dish just to have more of the experience. I’ll definitely be coming back to explore the menu more

I got Honey Chicken combination. It’s normal American Chinese food. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Food was as expected at a reasonable price. I will be back to try other food options.

We are from Mississippi and were missing good Chinese food. We decided on Yummy House based on reviews and photos and were not disappointed. The food was wonderful, the service was prompt, professional and friendly and the restaurant was clean and welcoming. We will definitely be making the trip to Kenner for our Chinese food fixes from here on out.

Terrible service! Blamed my boyfriend for not paying even though it showed on the Bank statement. Also called agent from his bank and they even confirmed the purchase. Overall they did not handle the situation well. I payed with my credit card in the end because they were being rude about it. Basically was doubled charged
