the restaurant is easy to find and there is ample parking available. The service is very nice and hard-working. The food, we had a starter, main course and dessert, was excellent. Have never enjoyed such good Peruvian cuisine. The food was very tasty, seasoned excellently, not too sweet. A treat for the palate. The prices are reasonable for the performance. If the way from Germany wasn’t so far, this would be my regular place

Excellent food! Stopped on a cross country tour with my brother, and had appetizer, main and dessert.

Great family owned restaurant. They have the classic Peruvian dishes, very fresh and affordable. The only reason why I’m not giving the fifth star, is because I would have loved to see some more vegetarian options or a vegan option

Such delicious food! I will be back anytime I visit Salida and Monarch! The lomo saltado had great flavor, pisco sour was delicious, and the alfajores were warm and so soft! Definitely recommended!

Rather disappointing to be truthful, I ordered The Chijaukay, while savory, the chicken was obviously old dry and chewey. There was a very large portion of rice vs the main dich which was the chicken. Also the dish was very salty. I also ordered the Taquenos which were an unusual dough with cheese inside. These fingerings were bland as was the mashed avocado that came with. The total cost was just over $26 which included an iced tea, with tip just over $30 for one person.

We ate there last night. WOW. The food was amazing. Great large portions. Very good price. Our friends are here. They spent 30 years in Peru. They said it was very authentic to the real thing in Lima, Peru. I know we’ll be back and I highly recommend this restaurant.

The food was great as was the service!! We got the #2 chi jau Kay and the tallarin saltado with steak. They were both delicious. The portions were very generous. Everyone who worked there was super nice. Would definitely come here again. The space looks really fun.

I only got an appetizer for lunch as the prices for me seemed really high (about 18 bucks a plate on most items) and I don’t eat a lot. It was interesting to try and tasted good but came out barely warm. I would go back and try something else for sure tho!

Had great expectations, we were horribly let down. Paid 20.00 for a meal that was mainly minute rice. There was very little meat, but the sauce was very savory. Did feel a bit on display when a child wandered out to stare at the only folks in the establishment. I highly doubt we will back.
