I normally go to the Zankou Chicken in Pasadena and I know that location has great food. Since Montebello is closer to me I decided to give it a shot. Not the same. My family and I were disappointed. Food took long to get served. Food was cold. Other patrons we’re complaining of the wait time as well. I’m not sure if the workers were just having a bad evening. I’m willing to give this place one more shot. Hopefully my next visit will be better.

The food was good. The sevixexwas just ok. There were a lot on small flying bugs in the restroom. The a/c was out of order. They were out most of the soft drinks syrups at the soda dispensing machine. The front door was wide open allowing for more flying bugs to enter the restaurant.

Been to this joint quite a few years back when they first opened now it’s as they say unlike the good ok days. Specifically the beef shawarma was dry through and through seems like they cut the meat from the rotisserie a while ago and was sitting there for a while before they put it in the wrap. The chicken wasn’t as juicy as I remembered it to be the only saving grace was the falafel was fresh and the tahini was tight
