My wife happen to find this restaurant in Centerpoint on social media. Our friends and us traveled a short distance from Comfort. We loved the old stone building outside and in. The atmosphere was like an old historic building, which has a lot of history. Beautiful all around with a back patio area for the Fall season. I ordered the salad while my wife ordered the pork schnitzel, with mash potatoes and vegetables. The waitress advised us that it was a large plate, so split our dishes. My salad had that wonderful citrus favor with flesh lettuce and veggies. My wife’s pork schnitzel tasted great. All our food tasted great and the service was excellent. Found another great spot to wine and dine.

Man, I wish I took pictures, but was to swept up in enjoying the moment to do so. I don’t even know where to start with this place. I was blown away. Our server Crystal was so so kind and attentive without interrupting our date night. Just the perfect amount of checking in on us. She also was the one who made our cocktails and they were hands down some of the best drinks we ever had. Then the food. We shared an appetizer and then split two meals because we just couldn’t make up our minds and wanted to try it all. After dinner we took a stroll through the STUNNING backyard garden. There were grape vines, flowers, and a water feature. After enjoying the garden we went back inside for dessert and an espresso martini, which again was done perfectly. We tried both desserts they offered and they were also incredible. We’re telling everyone about this place. It is truly a gem and center point is lucky to have such a spot!

First of all, our dining experience was incredible!! The food was absolutely delicious!! We ordered several different cocktails, 3 different appetizers and each got something different on the menu. We will be back!! Everything was perfect!! Secondly, the building is historic to Center Point and reading all about the history made our experience even better!! The back yard area and gardens are so peaceful!! I highly recommend you come to Center Point and eat at Zanzenberg Tavern!!!

I am hopeful for this location. Very good food, but front of house needs some work for a place that requires reservations. Both hostesses stopped in mid seating to address an interruption by kitchen staff, and left us hanging for a 6:00 reservation. The ice tea was made in the coffee machine, and had that heavy coffee oil taste. When we didn’t order cocktails, our water and tea was never refilled.

Food was excellent and unique! Staff was friendly. Our table had 4 different specialty drinks, and they were all excellent. The dessert was huge (split) and outstanding! They also had wonderful live music on Friday night! We can’t wait to go again!

Took my sis there for her birthday lunch. William, the mixologist, made us his special outstanding drinks! We both had the Wagyu sandwiches, and they were so yummy that I’m craving more! The gardens are so beautiful and peaceful! What a true gem this place is! It’s pricey, but it is lovely!

I absolutely love working here!!! The owners are one of a kind and truly care about there staff!!! The Chef Brian is such a talented chef!! And a pleasure to work for!! Best and Fresh Food!! The Bar Manager Crystal is a cut above the rest! She cares about her customer and this restaurant!! I can’t brag enough on this restaurant!! We ate there on 4/21/23. Two had the wagyu burgers, 2 shared the chicken dish, and two had appetizers. The GOOD….the flavor of the food was nice and our server was very attentive. We sat outback on the patio which was lovely, at least until the summertime temps hit. The BAD…..both burgers were cooked to a medium well. For the wagyu steak tacos the meat was also cooked to about a medium well. The tacos are about street size so for the price I would have assumed 3 would be served instead of just 2. When we arrived the interior seating area had lots of smoke from the kitchen in it, may have been a one off event, so we were happy to be outside. The PICKY…..for having a Chef that is so proud of their creations that they won’t substitute the meal side items, one would think they would be able to get the cooking of the meat down to near perfection. On 4/22/23, two of the people we ate with on 4/21/23 went again with two of their friends. This time they ordered the New York strip and it too was cooked to a near medium well. They ordered the wagyu tacos again as an appetizer and it was once again overcooked. Hopefully the chef will figure out how to cook beef because the place has lots of potential.
