First time trying Zanzibar express, It was delicious I ordered a salmon salad. The location is clean and a nice area to dine in as well. The menu is limited but everything is still cooked to the Zanzibar standard. I’m only giving 4 stars because I wanted fried turkey chops and they only grill them at this location. G

They get 3 stars only because it is the express location and there is some leeway. First off, I can make better collards on my worst day. Second, my wife’s yams would make them stop trying to sell what they offer. Third, the honey glaze chicken really just tasted like they put some sweet and sour sauce from the store on it. It’s hard to find real good soul food in this city, but we will keep looking.

Dry chicken, greasy watery Mac and cheese and very small sides. Except for house potatoes, it tasted like 2 day old leftovers and for what you’re charging people, that’s not cool at all! Get your stuff together!
