The food is incredible here! Zarza is one of my favorite places to eat in Lakeland and the fact that it’s a local family run business makes it even better! I moved to Winter Haven from Lakeland a couple years ago and still drive 30+ minutes just to eat at Zarza. My go to order is the half chicken, rice, beans, and plantains. All of the sauces they offer are delicious as well. 5 stars!

Oh my goodness the food there is always great the chicken is so tasty and the food is always picture perfect I love that restaurant! The employees are very nice. I ordered the half grilled chicken with yellow rice black beans and sweet plantains and it was so tasty. They have a white sauce I don’t know what it is but it is the bomb you have to try it!

1st time tonight, the staff (girl who took the order) very nice and friendly. I don’t recall eating Peruvian before but the food was decent. A little different than what I am used to but definitely a nice place to visit and support. Next I will try the rotisserie chicken.

The food was OK. Nothing special. We had the 1/2 chicken family meal. The meats were not seasoned, the fries that were under the meat were soggy. Rotisserie chicken is always good but I expected spanish seasoning. No seasoning on the pork or chicken that is included with the family meal.

Had a good experience here, but the environment is a little strange the first time you visit – you order at the counter but it almost seems like it should be a sit down place, and there was a lot of open space like there should have been tables present but they were removed. We ordered a bottle of wine with our dinner, that was a mistake. (There’s a reason they sell it so cheap) With that said, though, we had a great meal. My wife had a 1/4 chicken and black beans with yellow rice and potatoes. I had the sauteed pork and wow it had great flavor. I would definitely repeat and come again!

We were kind of off put by the fact that there no signs letting you know you had to order up at the cash register, so prior to being told we had been sitting at a table. My husband and I both ordered the jalea. It was good however the fish/seafood wasn’t crispy like it should be. We’ve had jalea in many other Peruvian places and it’s normally very light and crispy. We also got this little tiny container of sauce for dipping. They were really busy, which is a plus for them.

Just ok. Won’t be back. Was disappointed based on the ratings, I wanted to love this place but it fell short. Agree with others, first time there feels like someone should be sitting you but you have to order AND pickup from the front table. The food was a good portion but fell short on flavor. My husband didn’t eat his fish at all, my son said the steak was meh and the pork chops were just ok. Same with rice and beans. We are not hard to please but this is our 1st and last time. Maybe it was an off day.
