The food is usually really good. It was off for some reason tonight. Waitress was HORRIBLE! She brought out our food then was on her phone. We had to actually get up and go get her when we needed something. I brought my friend, who was from south Carolina, here and it didn’t leave a good impression on him. However, the manager did come talk to us and was super nice! This was the first time I’ve been on a weekend night. Maybe that had something to do with it? We are usually there in the day. I’m sure I will go back. I’m just praying that next time is a better experience.

Pretty cool place. It’s converted from a bar, so it still looks like a regular bar with a sushi bar stuck against one wall, but that’s a compliment not a criticism. Fantastic craft beer selection, covered deck outside, high top tables inside. The only caveat that might matter to someone (it didn’t matter to me) was that is still smells like a bar. A number of the chairs and high tops are showing age (again, I didn’t care, but you might).

This is the best place in town!! Something different than burgers and pizza. My kids suggest eating here weekly!! Fair prices and DELICIOUS food! My 11 year old eats sushi like a pro! Our favorite is Spicy Tuna roll or Fashion roll! Everything we have tried has been amazing so far!! Highly suggest going here if in town!

Best Sushi place in town! I love sushi and don’t trust many places, but Zen-Shi has amazing food that tastes good and is safe to eat. I would Highly Recommend for Veteran and Novice Sushi/Sashimi eaters. They have both a raw and cooked menu for all ages. In addition, they have an American menu for friends if they don’t like sushi.

If you want to get the Thursday special do not get it for take out. The rolls were crammed into a container too small so everything that was supposed to be on top was on the top… of the container. I had to try and reassemble everything but that’s especially difficult when the avocado turns into guacamole. Past that everything was beyond dry. Even the rice so the rolls fell apart when picked up. We had tuna in one roll and canned tuna is more moist than it was. I was surprised with the pickled ginger. It must be house made because almost every piece had a lot of peel left on it. Completely disappointed with this visit

Not bad. I was expecting a sushi place but felt like it was a bar with sushi options. They have 3 regular rolls for $12 which is a decent deal but none of their rolls were anything special. The rolls were so so but reminded of the rolls I get from a grocery store sushi chef. The gyoza was decent. The beer was cold but they don’t have any local beer on tap. They have Sam Adams, Miller, Kona, ,Goose Island, and few other IPA varieties.

Went on a Friday night. We got fried calamari that was rubber; sent back. Fried gyoza, not terrible but had a burned aftertaste. The rice in the sushi was old and dry. We Bobcat and the Fancy (?) rolls. They were tasty. The regular sushi eel/tuna/salmon were just ok. At least the waitress was nice.

I love this place! They almost always have a drink special that is worth coming in for. The sushi chef is very attentive to allergies in our group. The patio area is perfect for gathering and playing corn hole.

My husband Rod I try to make it to Zen-Shi at least once a month. He loves their sushi and says its as good as any sushi you’d find in the bigger cities. Great place, great atmosphere, and friendly staff. This is one of over favorite places to go out to eat.
