We used to love this place. It seems to have gone downhill. The wait staff needs a lot of tranining. They shared details about the chefs that were frustrating them (apparently one quit and that’s why it was taking so long) that made me feel uncomfortable. I waited an hour for my meal. The salad was drenched in sauce. The meat was overcooked and the vegetables were soaking in sauce. Also, the restroom was very dirty. There was a lot of dust built up, the sink was dirty, and one of the soap dispensers was empty. Probably won’t go back.

Our new date night spot!!! Our amazing server was fantastic, the food was absolutely delicious and the presentation was gorgeous! We felt welcomed, everyone on the staff was positive and happy. I told my Fiance that this is the best spot I’ve been to in Auburn hands down.

My favorite hibachi spot! Of course, I love the food… I am picky with yum yum sauce and Zen meets my expectations. Nice, laid-back atmosphere. Everyone from the cooks, servers, and hosts are always superb. I’ve been about five times, so it’s not a fluke. Lol! Can’t wait to go again, so I can count on two hands how many times I’ve been.

Every so weekend I would visit here and they would never disappoint. Today I ordered what I always get the “Chicken Fried Rice”. The service was super nice and quick, I looked at other reviews and was sad that some thought this place wasn’t good. I think “ Zen” improve every time I go there. I’m always looking forward for “Zen” . Thank you for the best possible experience. Also “Golden California Roll”… the best!! ☺️

Fantastic sushi, good pricing and a clean, beautiful restaurant! The chef knew how to make good food and was very friendly, even made suggestions based on my tastes! Even though they were busy with online orders all night my food was timely and I was made to feel very welcome. Will definitely be returning here at another time.
