Great place to enjoy Mexican food. Portions are served with care and lots of flavor. The family owned restaurant is new, but their passion for food is noticed in the way they bake their own bread and dishes. I had a mulita, which had the perfect amount of meat, and the sauce on the side was delicious and spicy. I also took home some bread for breakfast. Service is great, and there is also a little section for candies and books, yes books. I will definitely go back.

I’ve been meaning to come here when it was El Morelense so finally made the trip now that it is Zhumi. Food is so tasty and I knew it was going to be good from recommendations by others but it was better than expectations…when I do my happy food dance at the first bite you know it’s good.

Sorry guys no photos because we devoured everything. What can I say? Home made tortillas, delicious tacos, best service, but their horchata??? Best in NYC. Hands down. We had the steak burrito, enchiladas, tacos. All the hand made tortillas were amazing. Burrito good, enchiladas yummy, tacos magnificent, rice and beans not bad. Family run business, very friendly and respectful. Definitely coming back.

I thought I was being biased bc this is close to me but it’s really one of the best Mexican spots I’ve tried in NY, and I’ve tried a lot. Even better than some I’ve tried in Cancun. I usually get pastor, enchilada, and carnitas tacos. Today I had camaron too and damn Good. And the staff is always so courteous.

Came here for the first time and won’t be my last. I traveled a bit to find some authentic tasting Mexican food.You always know how authentic they are by how their tacos al pastor taste and thank goodness I found this place. Their horchata was bomb! Best horchata I’ve ever had. The ambiance is very mom and pops family runned so it just adds to the taste of their food. Definitely recommend this spot.

Sweet, family run restaurant with delicious tacos. Got the pastor, barbacoa, and cecina and another to go for a friend. They were so thoughtful and waited to make the to go order right when I was finishing my last taco. Can’t wait to come back.

This restaurant is a gem for authentic Mexican food in Whitestone. Everything we had was amazing and all the employees were super friendly. As someone who used to live on the west coast and has experienced some amazing Mexican food, this is as good as it gets. If you decide to give them a try (and you should), get the al pastor tacos. You will not be disappointed!

i order from here sometimes multiple times a week after school and their burrito is usually the best part of my day. Its always filling, fresh ingredients, and they give little orange slices with it which is amazing <3 salsa verde is also really good. and the family is so kind and friendly !!
