My family drove in to Sandusky from Pittsburgh for a concert, and right before leaving the house, I jumped on Google to find some place in the vicinity for dinner, with reasonably good customer feedback. Zinc Brasserie fit the bill with 3-1/2 stars and right across the street. We were in for a pleasant surprise! The cuisine is five-star all the way. Creative, delicious, and beautifully presented. The wait staff were also most friendly and gracious. There were so many enticing choices on the menu, we decided to order the seafood melange (I cannot remember its name, it began with a C) and share it family style. I was also unable to resist the gourmet pickles in the appetizer section. Both were outstanding. The fish was perfectly cooked and seasoned, and beautifully presented. We also ordered a mushroom salad and a very creative green leaf salad – a tad sweet for my taste, but outstanding nonetheless.

Seems like a huge discrepancy between the positive reviews and the negative ones. Hmm, I wonder if the owners wrote the good ones lol. Maybe they need to call Robert Irvine and schedule a Restaurant Impossible rescue.
