I had the big zip burger with onion rings. The big was big and good. The onion rings not so good. They were partially coated with the batter. Tasted very salty. Employees were friendly. We had a group of 12 and it took 3 hours for the whole visit. And the food orders were a little messed up.

Always loved zipps growing up but it’s gotten so bad. Bartender didn’t even ask me for my order for 20 minutes just washing glasses in front of everyone waiting. I ordered crispy wings. They came out 10 minutes later and knew something was wrong since Zipps cooks wings from raw. They were undercooked. I barely ate 1 wing and just sat there. Never checked on me or food after that. After 15-20 minutes I just grabbed another employee, paid and left.

Typical sports bar, I only come here for golden wings, chicken focacia, and/or cheesy green chili chicken egg rolls. I had to Flag down the server each time to get her attention if I wanted or needed anything. No silverware was initially brought with my food, had to ask for that too. Food is good, service sucked unfortunately at this specific location.

I met a friend here. The area was very nice. When I walked I was immediately taken with the relaxed atmosphere. People were talking but the noise didn’t bother me. The staff was very kind and pleasing to the eye. My friend ordered lunch and got take out for her family. This is their favorite place .

Our waiter was quick to refill alcohol but anything thing else we had to ask for multiple times. Never even came back. We had to go find him to get our food and drinks totaled $138 which could have been a lot more of we had a server that cared about his customers.

Came in from out of town and figured we sit down and watch the ufc from a local sports bar. Service was great when we came in. Waitress turned the tv to what we wanted, ordered appetizers and beer. Out of the blue, Waitress told us the manager doesn’t allow ufc viewing. I thought we were at a sports bar, therefore we decided not to stay. We didn’t get to experience the food. But we googled areas & ended up at TWIN PEAKS, which ended up a lot better, there was the ufc & beer specials. Anyone who wants a good sports place with good atmosphere & specials go to twin peaks!! Also, zipps does not honor military & twin peaks does.

The food was ok at best. The kicker is when I was done it took 10 minutes for the bartender to acknowledge me for the check. I was in a hurry at this point. Instead he gets me another refill and then presents me the check. After leaving my card for him, it takes another 10 minutes for him to take it. It took me a good 25-30 minutes to pay in what should normally be less than 5. I ended up having to rush to my meeting.

This is your average neighborhood sports bar; Loud, dirty, busy, and with many TVs showing variety of sports. So far so good, and you woukd be right to think so, but all is not as it seems. The tables are a bit stickier than one would like, and given how busy they are they are understaffed, so the relatively friendly employees struggle to deliver good service. Happy hour ends at seven, and daily specials don’t start till eight, so woe be to you I’d you order in between as you will be stuck with full price. Even if you order before seven, the busy servers might not right in your order till past seven, and you get charged full price anyway, with no notice of this. Check your bill, and tip accordingly. Or vote with your dollars, and go elsewhere. Plenty of domestic beer on tap, but only very bland and uninspired craft selection. You can do better elsewhere. Specials aren’t that great, unless you drink domestic. Go to the source, as Scottsdale provides a plethora of better options.
