Food was okay—just okay. Not bad. A bit expensive. They forgot one of our orders and after 20 minutes we had to go check—apparently they just forgot. Not sure how this place compares to others in the area as we were just passing through on I-10, but having eaten all over the US in big city’s and small towns our three adults and two teenagers agree it was just fine. Solid 3 star choice. (Side note: staff was friendly enough, but men’s and women’s bathrooms were in dismal shape. Men’s toilet didn’t flush and both were dirty!)

Came in today for the first time and it was a few hours before the location officially opened. I was greeted with kindness and still served by the staff who were very understanding! The customer service was awesome but the food was excellent! I always appreciate kind staff! I hope my tip was enough! Thanks ladies for a great lunch!

Way too expensive. I had the Baja with queso and a drink… it was $20. It came with chips and salsa, that I didn’t need or order, and the burrito wasn’t great. It was heavy on the cumin and needed salt.

Unfortunately they’ve stuck with the “we’re in downtown Baton Rouge, being dirty and smelling like Mardi gras is acceptable” mentality. Hopefully they’re paying their employees more and that’s where their premium prices are going, because the bathrooms are shining examples of a business who made their investment back and are riding their namesake.

I ordered two build your own burritos and a small queso to add to one of them. They weren’t marked so we had to guess at which was which and both burritos were stone cold. Chicken Beans and Rice, all should be hot items. It wasn’t even warm.

I love, love, love Zippy’s! From past, to present, and current! Matthew is my absolutely favorite person to grace this establishment. He’s attentive, welcoming, and on top of things. It’s so hard to get late night food in Baton Rouge that’s efficient and quality. Zippy’s barnone fits the bill. I appreciate the welcoming and relaxed atmosphere. There’s no way someone wouldn’t come back. It’s rare that I can find nothing but positive things to say but trust it is well-deserved. If you’re in Baton Rouge and have a taste for quality Mexican cuisine late night please give Zippy’s a try and you won’t be disappointed.
