Excellent service by Hang for my boyfriends birthday. We got the truffle edamame special, calamari, watercress salad, grilled scallops, and spicy tuna and ginger cucumber maki rolls all of which were delicious. Hang recommended 3-4 dishes/person that was the perfect amount of food. Timing was excellent to save room for dessert including peach and honey special and banana cake.

I celebrate my anniversary here, we order signature omakase and it’s 138 each. It’s a bit different than I thought when served. I thought each person have their own course and food, but it turns out that everyone share the same set. The appetizer, I recommended salmon tartar with the lotus root chip, it’s very unique(could consider to order). I feel like they add too much sauce on most of the dishes, which cover the taste of original ingredients. The deep fried shrimp tempura have shells in it, I almost swallowed the shell. The yellow tail sashimi are above standard, but tuna and salmon it’s not really surprising. The nigiri is baby size, I didn’t know why it shrinks. Spicy tuna roll and miso soup taste cheap, which I believe are similar to standard Japanese restaurants. I highly recommend to order both of their signature dishes black miso cod and steak with asparagus. The cod fish is over beyond, it’s very juicy and fresh. Next, the steak is very stuff(I believe they put in the pressure cooker), the scallops as you can see it’s nearly the same size of my fist(adult fist). However they put too many sweet spicy sauce on the steak, so I can’t really taste the original flavor of the steak, just sauce and steak texture. I also recommend their dessert, there’s at least 10 types of fruits, 3 types of ice cream, especially guava flavor, I believe it’s hard to have it outside. Some of the fruit are quite sour, but it’s fine. The crème brûlée and the passion fruit mousse taste the best(can consider to order). Overall, the dinner was nice, and I have a good time celebrates my anniversary, but pricey. It suit for special occasions, but not daily.

We ordered three signature omakase, however, this is not the traditional type of omakase that everyone gets their own courses. They put our courses together so that we can share, meaning that the appetizers, main course, and deserts were all together. If we knew beforehand, we would rather order other food instead of the omakase. Appetizers were quite good, especially their sashimi platter, everything that is raw taste good. But I kinda feel like they put too much seasoning on the main course, we can barely taste the beef and scallop since it was covered with some sort of sauce that made it really salty and greasy… We also don’t like their spicy tuna maki because it was something that you can order it in any cheap Japanese restaurant. We love their deserts! The three ice-cream flavors was so delicious, and their cheese cake was a top notch! Highly recommend their cheesecake!

My partner and I have had the pleasure of dining at Zuma for both lunch and dinner multiple times, and I can confidently say that this is the best sushi spot Boston has to offer. The sushi is always fresh, and the quality of the fish is top-notch. The presentation of the dishes is also impeccable, with each dish looking like a work of art.

Truly one of the best meals I have ever had in my life. We loved everything and there was not one bad dish. Everything had so many layers of flavor that I was in awe the entire meal. I went out with my family of 5, so we got lots of food :).

Our recent dining experience at Japanice Restaurant Zooma Boston was an absolute delight! From the moment we entered, we knew we were in for something special. Seated at the kitchen bar, we had front-row seats to observe the captivating culinary symphony unfold before our eyes.

Zuma is always a good idea especially because of the 5 star service. The staff make you feel welcome, the food, drinks and desserts are consistently good. Dining here can get pricey but I would say that the price is worth it especially during the weekends or a special occasion like date night

Beautiful nightly restaurant with amazing detailed food! Appetizers were delicious! They also have a “secret maki” roll with torched toro as one of the special ingredient, it was well balanced. Oh though, I wasn’t overly impressed. Service and atmosphere was also great, would recommend to go for a date or celebration. There’s a bit of an up selling on products but that’s just business. I definitely would come back to try omakase and drinks.
