First and last time!!! I was really excited to patronize this establishment after learning that it’s affiliated with the original location from the 90’s-2000’s. I placed my online and thought I was going to be greeted with the same friendly environment from the old location. I traveled out of my neighborhood as I did back in the day and was instantly annoyed that I wasn’t greeted or acknowledged upon entering. I stood at the window for 6minutes before finally saying out loud pick up and my name. That was the most ghetto experience ever and it was treated as if it was normal. After a few minutes my name was called. I asked for juice to be added to my yams because I watched the lady drain them. Not a problem I thought. The employee rolled her eyes. She really seemed irritated when I checked my order and asked for my chicken to be switched. It was back and forth and giggles amongst the employees and finally one added another piece of chicken because I said I’m not going to argue , I just want what I ordered. I said no thighs in my online order and my breast looked like a thigh. Once I got home I realized the breast are split in half, check the picture. So actually the appearance looked like a thigh because they split the breast in half before cooking. I put both breast together and they fit back like a puzzle(see picture). Ghetto and unethical to sell food that have been cut but the prices reflect a whole portion. Never again

The food is excellent! I love getting soul food when I’m in Chicago, and I frequented the last location on 81st before they moved. The food was very expensive, but you get what you pay for! Restaurant is HUGE!

I came in yesterday afternoon. I took off one star because they didn’t have peach cobbler nor did they have the sour cream pound cake. I got there around 2:50pm and they opened at 11am. I took off another star because the older dark skinned black lady with the African-American mullet, was very unwelcoming. I spoke when I came in, and the staff acted like they didn’t want to speak. Specifically, the lady with the hair ear length at the top and long in the back. She barely wanted to speak. Ugh! Which was totally unwarranted because I had just came in and had no prior interaction with her. Also, the cornbread muffins were old and dry as the Sahara! Enough with the bad let’s look at the good.

My family and I visited the restaurant this past Sunday . We was hesitant about eating there because the outside was full of trash and it reeked of urine. The first employee we had an interaction with was not welcoming at all! She seemed as if we was getting on her nerves . We wanted to support a black business in the community so regardless of the attitude we continued to get food. The ENTIRE STAFF INCLUDING THE MANAGER was unfriendly, rude , and unwelcoming! THE ONLY PERSON IN THE STORE WHO WAS ATTENTIVE AND SMILE WAS SHAKIETH!!! My grandmother ordered fried chicken and it was not done, the manager returned my money but that was still unacceptable to serve uncooked chicken. The food was exceptional. Not even 10 minutes after eating I was clutching the seat because my stomach was hurting so bad!

Ordered through UberEATS and this was my first time ever trying them. Macaroni and cheese was delicious the dressing with gravy was good too. And last the honey hot chicken was delicious…!!!! The right amount of heat and sweetness. Would’ve been 5 stars but I asked for a strawberry crush and got a grape one instead

For the first time in over 10 years of being a faithful customer, I was served “garbage”. This past Friday I ordered catfish, spaghetti, mac & cheese and greens. When my Uber Eats driver arrived at Morrisons, she was told that there was no more catfish or spaghetti so i substituted for the smothered chicken and dressing, delivered via Uber Eats. When my food arrived, it was cold and NOT fresh. The mac and cheese was like it had been reheated quite a few times. The dressing was scraped for the bottom of the pan and crunchy. The greens were disrespectful as well. The chicken was presented like its been reheated also and fod the price I was charged I only got 3 small pieces drowned in gravy. I got a small leg, a small thigh and a wing. I ended up complaining to Uber and got a full refund. I was very disappointed and will NOT order again.

I went to TikTok, they gave mixed reviews. I said I would try them out. Placed an order via the app that they prefer. Paid – got the first email saying we see you ordered. But wait until we confirm the order before you do anything. I then received the stores confirmation with the time it would be ready. I get here they don’t have the order, never heard of the order and apparently someone forwards the orders without knowing if they have the food. I had such high hopes.

This definitely does not compare to the old Morrison’s. I was very disappointed. My short ribs were just ok, my dressing was horrible, even the corn bread muffins are not good.
