been coming to the pit and the peel for awhile, never had this problem with the bowl being so watery. because they are so busy talking behind the counter and not doing their job. and the bowls weren’t even filled up to the top. not worth the $22.70 that I spent for both bowls. and when I had to pay an extra $1.50 for extra peanut butter I didn’t even get extra.

My girlfriend always goes here for their açaí bowls. Great choice if that’s what you’re into. Pretty quick and convenient with an array of options and even pizza that was surprisingly good the one time I had it. Unfortunately they don’t seem to do the best job possible of keeping things stocked because they have been out of what she wanted on more than one occasion but they have enough options that it’s not worth them getting dinged over.

the first time i came here it was amazing. but this time was an absolute let down. i had to ask for a wipe to clean my table – she came over and wiped the tables but with no effort. there was black long hair all over the tables and she just swirled it around on the table with the rag. the wrap had two very small pieces of chicken in them. not worth the money at all. the smoothie had no flavor. i thought he was exaggerating when he said that until i tasted it. i’ve never had a smoothie with no flavor… and there’s also another review about almost no meat in the wraps.

I have a come here several times and most of the time it’s been a negative experience. The service is always rude and very amateurish. The last time I have been here, I ordered two bowls over the phone and came in for pick up. There was only one line and it was for people to order so I walked to the front counter to ask where I can pick up and was told to get in the back of the very long line. I was in this line for 20 minutes and when I finally got to the front I told them I’m just there to pick up. They found my order and said oh they still have to make it. I was very unhappy and I just left.

They have changed the entire menu. I literally came here a week ago and returned today and they had changed the menu yet again within one week. There is no consistency. I always get the house bowl and add an extra scoop of penut butter they used to scoop the penut butter and now they put a tiny drizzle on. A

While I used to love the Pit and the Peel, my experience today was awful. I moved out of state and haven’t been here since they rebranded and changed the menu. Gone is the cozy atmosphere and menu that I loved. It has instead been replaced by decor that looks like that of any other smoothie bar I’ve ever been to and a lackluster menu that is just not cohesive or good (minus the smoothies and smoothie bowls, which have stayed relatively true to the original menu). I ordered the “BLT” today and it was literally an open faced piece of toast with avocado, 2 halved cherry tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and crusty bacon. For $8. I miss the old Pit and the Peel where the menu was thoughtful, the food was good, and the atmosphere was welcoming. The restaurant I went to was none of those things. Will probably never go again.

Food was pretty good, but the customer service wasn’t great. Came in today around lunch time and the girl standing at the counter just ignored us and seemed annoyed to take our order. When we would ask a question about something on the menu she would answer us with an attitude and just genuinely seemed like she hated her job. Won’t come back because of this interaction.

Went to the rooftop area around 5pm. Ordered food and drink. Smoothie was good, but the beer we ordered had a bb-date that was over 9 months past. Trash receptacles were overflowing and needed emptying. Margarita flatbread pizza was overdone – burnt on all edges. Rest of food was just so-so. Not planning to go back again.
