Absolutely outstanding, and I cannot say enough good things about it. The food was amazing – my least favorite course was still the best piece I’d ever had previously in my life. I appreciated the seating next to the chef so we could watch all the preparation, and his discussion of the origin of the food as well as how to properly eat it.

By far the best Omakase experience I have had in a long while. The wine and sake pairing were perfect and a great value with the meal. I could not possibly get photos of every dish as 18 courses is a lot and we were having fun. Great staff. Felt fancy without being stuffy. Will be back!

Worth the price! We got the sake/wine pairing and it was incredible. Of the 18 dishes, there was only 1 I wasn’t a fan of but it’s because truffle isn’t really my thing. I was blown away!

The Omakase Room in Chicago is absolutely incredible, down to every detail. The atmosphere is classy but not stuffy, the food is outstanding (and I’ve been three times!), the wine and sake pairings are unique and spot-on, and the service is impeccable. Easily one of the best meals I’ve had.

I have been away from writing reviews due to the pandemic. The omakase room at sushi San reignited my passion. From my experience, I will say this is a solid sushiya and may be the best so far i have had in the windy city. Master chef is very generous with thick cuts. Ankimo is really good, no fishy taste and better than foie gras. I really loved the Toro tasting of the akami, chutoro, and Otoro. Chef also illustrated the parts using a tuna model. At the time I tried, it was not michelin starred. But I will say this place has a huge potential and would very likely get one or more stars in the year or two. Keep the good work. I have already decided to come back in May.

An incredible demonstration of sushi mastery by Chef Kaze and his team at Omakase Room. Fish, mollusks, crustaceans, beef and more in bite sized perfection.

Wow, memorable experience! Highest quality of food, paired with phenomenal creativity and lavish use of expensive ingredients. Chef Kaze Chan delivers, easily exceeded our high expectations.

I’ve done omakase at a few places before, but this is my favorite. The chefs are personable, the environment is luxurious but not stuffy, and the food is to die for. The sake pairing was absolutely worth adding. Looking forward for an excuse to splurge and go again.
