The artichoke appetizer was a big surprise hit. Pizza was also really good, pasta was pretty good. All the other dishes were decent. Calamari had a nice freshness to it, not super deep fried taste. Dessert was amazing!

Came here while visiting Chicago. The service and atmosphere were good. Our server was attentive and the food arrived rather quickly for each course. There were a couple of standout dishes but most of them were just ok. The Squash Blossoms and Roman Artichokes were delicious and I would definitely recommend them. The Pizza A Metro was another very tasty and well executed dish. The rest of our food was fine but not really exceptional or worth going back for. The Cacio e Pepe while cooked well was underwhelming and not as flavorful as I was hoping for. The Porchetta was a bit dryer than expected. Overall, it was a good meal but I’m not sure if I would go back anytime soon.

Very nice ambiance and everybody seemed to be having a good time. We had a sizeable party, the service was still very good. We were never short of anything and the recommendations were very good. Will come back for the wild mushrooms.

My wife and I have come to Testaccio several times and have never been disappointed at the quality of food and service here. They serve some unique, Southern Italian courses that are delicious and well-portioned. Some of the highlights of the menu are in the sides and starters – the roasted carrots and the verdure especially. The ambiance is quite casual and homey, and they have a surprising amount of space indoors. One of the best parts is visiting the speakeasy below them, Soif, after dinner to continue the night! We will definitely be coming back and look forward to trying new seasonal dishes.

At times it can be slightly loud when you are inside but you can still have great conversations. Food was great and portions were just right when you order apps. Our party of 4 didn’t go outside but their outdoor space looked really great. Next time there we are eating outside!

We’ve eaten here several times and enjoyed it each one! This visit we had burrata, pancetta, paparadelle, and the Roman carrots. The pancetta in particular was moist and savory! It’s busy, so make sure to plan ahead and get a reservation.

Wow! Every last bite was phenomenal. The Artichokes were unlike anything I’ve tasted, in the best ways. They were savory, airy, warm, tender, and delicious. Ryan was a wonderful server and the rest of the staff were equally pleasant, peppy, and professional. I can’t wait to come back and try more of the mouth watering meals

Excellent food and service. Pasta cooked perfectly. The delicata squash was amazing . Desserts were out of this world delicious. I love that they work with local farmers and that the menu changes based on what’s in season . The pistachio ice cream was the best we’ve ever tasted in the United States. Dined with someone who lived in Italy for years and she loved every bite. Cute atmosphere. Will be back.
