10/10 recommend, this place did not disappoint. I got the jerk chicken wrap with bbq chips, jerk chicken salad panini (special request) tortilla soap and a slice of pound cake. When I got in my car I had to pull the food back out to finish it, I couldn’t wait until I got home It was that good! Customer service 10/10 wait time wasn’t long.

My first time getting food from here. The Tuscany Panini is delicious, and so is the Tropical Breezer smoothie.

A nice place to eat at. Customer service lacks a little. They use to have complimentary water, but they no longer have that service, when I asked management, they told me nothing in this world is free smh. I guess they bought into the American greed concept. Which is sad, because they are black owned. But over all nice environment and good food. I give this place 4 stars ⭐️

The food is good but the cashier that rang me out was arguing with me for no real reason. I was buying 2 jerk chicken salad that I was going to eat in about 3 days so I asked for the ones that will go out on 8/31 to give me a little cushion but she said I have to take the ones that go out on 8/23 and I said I could easily comeback in a few days if that would make her happy and after she went to the back to talk to someone she sold it to me.

I’m not one to leave reviews often but wanted to make a point of giving this restaurant the praise it deserves. I had been meaning to visit for a long time but I’m only in the area for work a couple times a month and usually pressed for time so had to cancel my previous attempts. I finally was able to stop in today and order carry out. I had heard great things but my experience was even better than I had anticipated. The space is bright, inviting, and relaxing. They have an extensive menu and the staff was welcoming, knowledgable, and patient with answering my questions and verifying ingredient information. When I opened the bag I was very impressed with the attention to detail given to packaging my order, not only the time and thoughtfulness it must have taken but having worked in food service where margins are thin, I know it comes at great expense to the owner as well. I appreciated the extra piece of paper between the pickle and my panini; the soup being tightly and carefully wrapped in plastic wrap; the chilled pie not being put in the same bag as the warm soup; and the utensils for both being placed in their respective interior bags. Last, but certainly not least, the food was phenomenal! I had The Spartan panini, tomato bisque, and sweet potato pie. The chicken on the panini had a wonderful unique flavor and was juicy even though it’s essentially double cooked in the panini press. The bisque had a wonderful fullness to the flavor, and the pie was absolutely divine (and the icing is beautiful to look at, too)! Cheers to everyone who works here and compliments to the owner for cultivating such a wonderful environment and complete customer experience. I can’t wait to come back for another visit!

THE FOOD IS REALLY GOOD, THE WAIT TIME IS TERRIBLE. I TRY AND CALL AHEAD… EVEN WITH CALL AHEAD… IF THEY ANSWER, GET THERE AND FOOD STILL WASN’T READY. WHOEVER ANSWERING PHONES NEEDS CUSTOMER SERVICE CLASSES BECAUSE SHE IS VERY RUDE AND UNPLEASANT TO DEAL WITH. I NOTICE SHE REPONDS DIFFERENTLY IN FRONT OF THE OWNER… THAT IS TO BE EXPECTED THOUGH. GREAT FOOD, BUT THE OTHER FACTORS ARE TURN OFFS

Consistently fresh, consistently delicious. I’ve ordered everything on the menu and it’s literally all good. My favorites are the jerk chicken salad wrap, the chicken chipotle wrap, and the jerk salmon panini.

Today’s sandwich was not that tasty & it was cold. My soup was cold as well. Not sure what happened today because my last 3 visits were fine. I do believe the soups need to be a little larger for the price. I will give them another chance. Also Andy Sunflower coffee is usually good, today my coffee was cold & bitter.

I’ve frequented ASSC for the last 3.5 years. When I’m not traveling and work from home they are one of my go-to spots in the neighborhood. The food options are one of the best compared to most of the unhealthy, fast casual options in the area, e.g., Wendy’s, Red Hots, etc. The food never disappoints. However, sometimes the employees do. I’ve seen a consistent rotation of young people who come and go, so I assume they are high schoolers earning cash which is great. Occasionally, I run into the employee who just doesn’t have the capacity to be forward-facing with customers, and it creates a lot of unwanted friction during my ordering process. The specifics of the interaction aren’t all that important; the preference for me is to simply not to have to go thru a human being to order in the first place. For the last 3.5 years ASSC have not offered an option for online ordering at the 95th Street location. This is table stakes as far as I’m concerned in the food space. This is the digital age. As someone constantly on the go, I want the option to order online, pick up, and go. Perhaps they are reluctant to offer this due to an inability keep up with online and in-person demand. I’m guessing, that’s for them to figure. Bottom line: ASSC would see me more frequently if this lack of online ordering wasn’t a barrier to transacting with them, and if I didn’t always have to call in an order or make a in-person visit and stand in line.
