We happened to be in the area and made an unplanned lunch stop. It’s been a while since I had arepas and these didn’t disappoint. We started with an order of yucca fries. They were large planks, nice to cut to let them cool off and dip into the sauce. I’m not one for mayo/mayo-based sauces, and this was delicious.

First time trying Arepas. They were wonderful. The service was great. We got seated immediately. We arrived a little after the lunch rush. We were greeted with a smile and hospitable staff.

Arepas Capitol is a great restaurant for singles, families, and everyone in between! The food arrived quick and is bigger and more filling than you might think for good prices. It’s authentic, delicious, and served hot. We were served by Herman who was very helpful and explained any foods we weren’t familiar with. The place itself is decorated finely and there are beautiful paintings of the Venezuelan landscape to accompany you while you eat. Overall it’s a great experience and for anyone looking for a bite on the i95 corridor or just a good place to eat I highly recommend it.

I came to this restaurant for the first time and try the arepas and the food was delicious. Nice restaurant with great atmosphere and top notch service. I had the shrreded cheese and beef arepa and the reina pepiada arepa. I would like to thank my server Rafael for such great customer service. I will definitely come back in the near future to get some arepas.

Arepas Capitol has the best arepas and empanadas in the area. We ended up ordering two arepas (pabellón and pollo), an empanada con carne, side of yucca, the appetizer platter, and also ordered the quesillo and four empanadas to go. The service was great, and the food even better.

My wife and I always enjoy eating at Arepas Capital Gourmet Venezuelan Cuisine restaurant because they never change the absolute deliciousness when I order the Parrilla Mar Y Tierra with the passion fruit juice and plantains. Rafael who is visiting from Chile was serving for his last night before he leaves to continue his studies in graphics design. He said he would like to someday work for SpaceX. I wish him well and hope we can see him again in the near future. He was absolutely the best.

Everything was so good. The empanadas were the best I have had. We got the chef’s special and had plenty of food to split between two people. The rice was the only thing that wasn’t great. I mean it wasn’t bad by any means, just not amazing. If your trying to decide if you want to give them a try, do it. Its worth it.

So I just had a divine foodie experience here. Got the chicken empanada and some pabellon fried sandwich(?) platter with beef, black beans, fried plantains, and cheese… Omg it was so good. Their sauces and salsa are delicious. Staff was very friendly and recommended items to try, I am soooo coming back here again. Please give it a try!

They’re alright empanada seemed oily and refried and the arepa was not thick enough. I’ve eaten from Venezuelan places in NYC and Miami and trust when I say that this just missed the bar for me.
