First off, wow! Their food is amazing. They used to be located in Jonesville but now have a home location in Newberry. I absolutely love the fried cheesebread and the steak w/ lettuce. Next time I’ll try it on the tostones. My husband got the pork w/ cabbage on the tostones, which he loved. We will be sure to continue to come back. Maybe next time we’ll try dessert (saw flan in one of the pictures). They’re some hard working people, they got the food out really quick and I got to wait in the comfort of my car.

Best food I’ve had in Gainesville/Newberry area. I eat here every week and it never disappoints. Great food and service. The flavor, amount of food, and price are worth the drive from Gainesville. Everything in the menu is delicious.

Update: New location, same great food! They are now at their own location out in Newberry. STILL worth the hike. I’ve eaten everything vegetarian on the menu and I still come back to the green patacon with cheese, lettuce, cabbage, and pink sauce. And the cachapas. And tequenos. And tequecachapas. It’s all so good! Also, the flan. Just go. Try everything. You’ll love it!

The sweet plantains made with chicken is my favorite thing ever! I could eat it every day. The food here is so good, I want them to cater my wedding in the future

So good, the food was amazing. Price is fairly reasonable and always ask for extra sauce (since it’s free). Highly recommend the patacons, which are tostones sandwiches (use fried plantains as the buns). It’s so good. And if you’re into unique aesthetics, it’s nestled in a lovely, out-of-the-way place with a plant nursery right behind it. Makes for great photos, if you’re into that. It’s worth the drive, just make sure you check what hours they’re open (it varies day to day).

Amazing service!! Most authentic and delicious Venezuelan food I’ve ever tried. Their staff always goes above and beyond to make customers happy. My top three recommendations are their sirloin Maduro with cabbage + all sauces, as well as their beef empanadas and tequeños

We decided to try this place because of the advertised Venezuelan food. We dined in and were a bit overwhelmed by all the choices. The owner was so kind to explain and recommend. We tried the fried cheese sticks. They could have been a meal in themselves! So, so good! My husband got the pulled pork on a tostone with cabbage and I got the same, but pulled beef instead. It was HUGE. It was so different and delicious. Now I have half for tomorrow and a couple of cheese sticks. We talked with the owner at the end of our meal and enjoyed her warmth and friendliness. This is a small family business that I will enjoy supporting. Give them a try. You will be glad you did!
