Passing through town at dinner time and wasn’t expecting to find this in the middle of the swamp.. Like sitting at home having dinner with my Syrian mother… You can even see they pay attention to little details, One taste and you’ll know everything on the menu is going to be outstanding.. The food at Athenos is actually worth a trip out of your way. You won’t be disappointed….

This place used to be much better. The service is wonderful, the young waiter was great, but the food was just Eh. Rice Pilaf was cold and tasteless. Grilled Tilapia was pretty blah. We had driven 45 mins to go here to eat, but definitely wouldn’t do it again. Shame.

The Falafel was good and the meat was actually medium. The kebobs were good. The kebobs were good on a knife that really was sharp! Anyway the meat is usually overcooked and needs sauce. Not these. The cook said hell home make me sauce if I call ahead of time. It was quiet the scenary nice.
