Generally I would recommend for those who long for Northeastern Chinese food, as those dishes are really tasty and authentic. A must-try is the pork in sweet and sour sauce. Good place for a large party as you could try more dishes.

Braised Beef Noodle. We came around 3pm on Thursday. Love the down time quietness. I have been taking my son for tasting this noodle soup everywhere in this neighborhood. He rated this one 5 out of 5 according to the soup, the noodle and the beef. Personally, I found the soup a little too spicy but the size is good. If you like spicy, I think you will like this too.

I highly recommend酱大骨 and 锅包肉(traditional no ketchup). Definitely wouldn’t mind come here again. The service is quick too.

I’ve lived around the corner from this restaurant for a long time, and only have several years did I decide to try it. I wish I tried it sooner!

Might be the most authentic Northeastern Chinese food in NYC

Excellent food and service. Decor appears to have a nautical motif leftover from a previous tenant. Food tends to be spicy unless you request they tone it down. I had Kong pau chicken which was better than the place I usually get it.

We ran in here to have more dumplings after we had disappointing dumplings at another place in the West village. They were outstanding by comparison and pretty good overall. Especially since you’re on 14th Street.

Some of the MOST LEGIT Northern Chinese food outside of China! My spouse grew up in Beijing and I lived there a few years and for us, Auntie Guan’s is absolute gold.
