Wow. So freakin good. We ate everything we could in NOLA for the weekend and this place was on the same block of our hotel, (Olivier House which is a gem of a place in the historic French Quarters) we went here out of convenience and struck gold! My husband is from the Dominican Republic so Latin food is always judged critically. We ordered a chicken patacon a delicious sandwich that uses plantains as the bun and the chicken arepa which has a corn based pocket stuffed with goodness. We wanted to try the empanadas so ordered a couple of those too. We ended loving those so much we ordered six to go to enjoy for lunch while we were driving the next day. Oooh and get the green sauce that comes with the empanadas for whatever you order! I want this in economy size!

The food was amazing !! Everything we ordered was a hit! When you enter, it gets a bit confusing because the bar is at the entrance. You have to continue walking to the back, which feels restricted, and then order at the kitchen window. Once you order, you can take a seat and the food is served to you. The bar tenders were great. Super friendly and made incredible drinks! They recommended a few places to check out in New Orleans. Please do yourselves a favor, visit this place!!

Authentic and fresh Latin American food. Amongst the best meals that I’ve had in New Orleans. Best beef empanadas I’ve ever tasted! Must check this gem out!

I was not expecting much and was so happy with what I got. Everything was delicious. It is through the bar in a covered area in the back. You are free to eat your food in the bar.

The food is AMAZING! The fried plantains were to die for! We also got two of the bowls (pork and shrimp) and they were so flavorful, clean cooked and healthy!! This place is such a gem. The atmosphere is beautiful there too!

Wonderful place in the back half of a bar. The food was fantastic. We had empanadas and a pork and a beef brioche. Seriously delicious. You can eat in the back area, or pay a cover charge in the bar and listen to music, which was great when we were there. Would definitely go here a lot if we lived in town.

Outstanding! The food is really from scratch and seems like they don’t cut any corners. I recommend this for anyone who is craving really great Latin American food. My favorites are empanadas and the shrimp bowl, but everything on the menu is delicious.

I ordered the Pork Brioche. In my opinion, it was the best brioche sandwich I have had to date, and I’ve been to various Venezuelan restaurants beforehand. I highly recommend going here if you’re visiting New Orleans or are a regular. If you’re new, definitely recommend any of the brioches.

Hole in the wall Venezuelan food! I love empanadas and I can’t believe I was able to find such good ones at the back of a bar in New Orleans. Who would’ve thought??? We also got the Areppa which was delicious but packed full of cheese. I love cheese but my boyfriend is lactose intolerant so he couldn’t have much. The empanadas were the highlight of the show! Delicious green sauce to go with it. Wow amazing!
