If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Came here for the happy hour for a special event and did the oysters for $1.50, the poutine, and the french onion dip. Everything on the menu tasted absolutely amazing. The prices were just the cherry on top. One of the best happy hour deals Ive seen by far. We also did the rosé tower and it was a great price given the volume and for being in Chicago. Highly highly recommend. Will be coming again as well!

beautiful restaurant, terrible playlist. when i walked in, i was at first impressed by classy and french-inspired ambiance, but then i heard the chainsmokers playing on the sound system. i think this a disservice to the establishment and would recommend a major switch up in that area. the food was an average yum. wish there were a couple more beets in my salad, and my brother was only mildly impressed with his french onion burger. perchance i would come back.

This is not a french restaurant and it doesnt even seem french-inspired. Nice decor, not so good food, and mixed service. Waltzed in here asking to sit at the bar but it was full. A manager pointed to the end of the bar, it was a lower portion of the right next to the kitchen, probably the worst seat in the house, instead of seating me at a table. The bar manager came out and asked did I want to sit there, and of course, I said “not really” and she moved me to one of the many open high tops. You know where the other manager was too busy to seat me. By the way, they weren’t busy. The bar was full but most of the restaurant was empty, with some seating outside.

I’m visiting from Dallas and was not sure where to eat. Luckily, this restaurant was connected to my hotel so I decided to give it a chance. Absolutely one of the best places I have ever eaten. The escargot and shrimp a la plancha were amazing! Chazz has such a friendly and welcoming spirit. Kimberly was extremely nice and attentive. 10/10 would recommend 🙂

We had a perfectly delightful meal at Bandol Saturday evening! We just walked in and were seated immediately. Cute art deco space with a southern France beachy kind of decor. Pleasant French pop music was playing. Our server Chazz was so kind, she genuinely seems to love her job. I had the Manhattan Noir cocktail to start, bourbon with chocolate bitters, delish! Everything we ordered was top notch, and we felt the prices were on point. We shared the mussels, which came with Parmesan frites and toast points, and were resting in the classic delicious white wine and butter broth. The entrees were a nice size; we ended up with leftovers, which was great. I ordered the scallops, there were 4 of them, perfectly seared, on a bed of shaved brussels sprouts and squash. DH had the vegetarian offering, mixed mushrooms with polenta and a bit of rocket salad. We really appreciated the vegetarian option, and even more the fact the menu did not have foie gras or baby animals like veal on it. We will definitely be back next time we are in town.

Was in the mood for some French style food for lunch. I had the onion soup, steak frites, and sauteed mushrooms. All of the enteees I ordered was delicious! Maybe the frites were a little salty, but not too bad. Service was great and very attentive. Also ordered a coke with free refills. Server kept an eye on all of their tables so everyone were fairly helped. Even the manager on duty checked in on us and said we enjoyed our dining experience. As an early reviewer for this restaurant, I’d say this is a good recommendation.

Amazing service from the bartender, Connor. He always made sure I was okay and made recommendations including A La Folie (now one of my favorite drinks). Would definitely come back and bring others with me! A “must have” when visiting Chicago as well! & again Connor provided such great service, thank you (again)!

Had an amazing dinner at Bandol recently! Their seared scallops were amazing. My boyfriend got the bistro sandwhich and said it was one of the best sandwiches he has ever had. We can’t wait to go back soon!!
