Food are good and creative. Atmosphere is fun and staff is very friendly. However, the flow needs a bit of work. My smoothie came out at the very end of the meal when we were getting ready to leave. Thought it was forgotten so we just let it go. We couldn’t manage to get water refill despite asking several different times.

I’ve lived in NY for the past 7 years in search for a true Vietnamese restaurant that reminds me of my family home cooking and Houston, Texas’s Vietnamese food; this restaurant did just that! This long and arduous search had me dine at “highly recommend” Vietnamese places throughout NY (Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan, Long island), but none hit the spot like this one (not even Madam Vo). My wife who wasn’t really exposed to the world of Vietnamese cuisine initially though places like Madam Vo is good, but her taste buds quickly aligned after she tasted the liver pate mixture within the Vietnamese pork floss doughnut. The liver pate mixture in the fried doughnut-sticky rice is how it should be. It’s very aromatic, flavorful and light so one would not feel greasy or heavy despite large ample quantity of food.

Banh is an excellent place to enjoy Vietnamese food. The food is authentic and yummy, with a reasonable price and quantity, plus the ambiance is chill for couples, families, and friends. The food is both nice to dine in and take out.

For some reason I find really good Vietnamese – akin to what I’ve had in Hanoi and HCM city – rare in NYC. This place does a really good job though I have to say. My lunch of pho was super tasty with great flavors in the broth and ample cuts of beef. The crispy spring rolls were also excellent. And they serve Vietnamese egg cream coffee! When I discovered that during a trip to Hanoi, it was an epiphany and Banh does an excellent version. Definitely a must try!

Honestly I’ve had a lot of pho , we stop at a pho restaurant every time we travel some place new and I honestly think that the pho broth was missing a lot of flavor. The vibes of the restaurant are super cute and we loved our experience but the pho was definitely a bit lacking. We also had a spring roll dish and it was absolutely delicious. Perfectly crispy. 10/10 recommend their spring rolls.

I’ve come here twice now. The first time I had bun dau mam tom and pho and loved both. It was one of the best Vietnamese restaurants I had ever been to. Then this year I went back uptown to try to recreate the excellent experience but was disappointed. I tried 2 new dishes this time, banh cuon type dish on a crispy rice cake and a vegetarian dry pho, both seemed to be more on their experimental side, less traditional. The banh cuon tasted dry and left a powdery taste in my mouth. Flavors were ok but the ratio of rice cake to the banh cuon was too high for my liking. It was also fairly large so I felt guilty for not wanting to eat it. The vegetarian pho didn’t taste viet to me. It tasted heavily like soy sauce and the addition of brussels sprouts felt off to me. The pandan tea was amazing though. I’ll need to go back and only order the dishes that are tried and true.

The best Vietnamese food I’ve ever had. The bánh cuon was my favorite thing we got, it’s incredibly soft and flavorful. Their bánh mi is unmatched. The baguettes are crispy and fresh and the meat is saucy and flavorful. The last thing we got was the pho and it was comforting, hot and packed with flavors. Do not miss out on this if you’re in the area
