One thing I can always say about Big Star is that it will always be a clutch restaurant. Yes at times it can be a little more on the pricey side , the deliciousness of the food always makes up for it. Every location I go to hits the same as before. My favorite meal is usually the fish tacos. If you have never I suggest you go right now.

Made reservations to eat before going to the Cubs. Our waitress couldn’t be bothered to bring water to the table. However, the food came out extremely quick (not brought out by the waitress). We actually finished our meals before our water and eventually our drinks arrived. Great/quick food option before a game. Tacos were really good. But the service by our waitress was a joke.

Had an excellent time here! The host staff was super friendly, the wait staff was great, the tacos were very tasty (best pollo taco I’ve ever had). We also got the mango margarita pitcher and it was very good. 10/10 will be going again!

If I could give a zero star for everything of this restaurant I would. It doesn’t even deserve a 1 star. We are visiting from Nebraska and we’re excited to experience Wrigleyville and had the worst experience at this restaurant. Our entire family was eating at this restaurant (including children/babies) and my mom who is their grandma (“Bammy”) was accused of drinking to much and acting out of line when she was sitting in her chair on her phone after having 1 sip of a margarita for the entire night. She was then accused and threatened to be kicked out in front of our whole table. The waitress Salma G. and another waitress in a mask were very rude and had zero professionalism. I would never recommend this place. To be accused of being belligerently drunk at a restaurant with your family and grandchildren is an embarrassment for anyone and this restaurant. Poor poor restaurant and poor poor management. I work in the service industry and I would never treat paying customers this way! Good Luck!

Great service, location and Tacos! 5-Stars for the service and Preston was our server. Was responsive and really knew the menu and made excellent suggestions. We were at the Cubs game and then came over for dinner. All around great atmosphere, very clean and the food was as good at their Bucktown location. Well done Big Star!

My friend and I had an absolutely awesome time here. Great location with an amazing atmosphere. Truly a classic Chicago sports bar to enjoy the city from! Our hostess/server Bella was very attentive and incredibly helpful in picking the best food on the menu, and she made our experience that much better! The food can be a bit pricey, but I promise you it’s worth it (the fish tacos are to DIE for).

Went on a Tuesday night (July 5th) around 9 and the place was pretty empty- but it shouldn’t be an excuse for what happened next.

Great place to eat at conveniently located in front of Wrigley Field. Food came out very fast. Service was nice. Only thing is that the tacos are priced a little high for the size in my opinion. I got nachos split between 4 of us, plus 3 tacos and that was enough to fill me up. If you have no nachos, I would recommend 4 or even 5 tacos- they’re not too big. I got Pollo, Al Pastor, and Barbacoa. Pollo was the best by far- highly recommend any of the 3 though. Overall great experience!

In all honesty, this place is absolutely not worth the money. First off, the service here is terrible. I understand there is a pandemic going around and the staff is short. But our server was just standing in the corner doing nothing. But the most egregious part of my dining experience was the food. The tacos were horribly expensive for an extraordinarily sub-par taco. The Al Pastor taco was 5 dollars. Our server said it was a “large taco, about 5 or 6 bites.” Take a look at the attached photo, and you’ll see the tacos are absolutely NOT 5 or 6 bites. The food was an absolute ripoff and the overall experience was unpleasant. Go to the McDonald’s down the street, you’ll get better service there. I definitely don’t plan on going back here.
