Botanya features Italian cuisine with Spanish fusion created using high quality regional and imported ingredients, taking you on a culinary exploration of your taste buds. At Botanya, we offer multiple courses throughout our menu: Stuzzichini, Aperitivos, Primi, and Secondi. Our vision is to deliver a menu and experience that is a bit more unique than what you would have in a normal restaurant. Our goal is not to be known as an Italian & Spanish fusion concept, but to be remembered as an experience where bites melt in your mouth with the emphasis on the tastes and freshness of all ingredients. Each dish at Botanya has a unique story of origin. All of our pastas are homemade daily using eggs from local Virginia farms, formed with a Mattarell

I stumbled upon this gem a month ago and have since made a visit every week. I came on a Wednesday night and had a glass of wine at the bar, the atmosphere was amazing. Soft sounds, good authentic smells, incredible staff. A few days later, I did the brunch on Saturday morning. The passion fruit mimosas were absolutely delicious! I returned the following week to listen to some live jazz music, the pastas are great and everything is made IN-HOUSE. They have amazing cocktails, cappuccino’s, appetizers, and entrees! Keep in mind the menu does change quarterly, but so worth it!! 10/10 recommend!

The service and food were just wonderful. Our server Sara was very knowledgeable, attentive, professional and so sweet. All the food we tried was delicious. And they have seasonal items. What else can you ask for?

Go immediately. It’s sooo good. So good I forgot to take pictures of the entrees. The cocktails alone are worth it. They are different and complex. As my dinner companion said “it’s an experience.” We got the long beans with tarragon aioli, arancini, and the table side fettuccine. We devoured it in minutes. Each dish was better than the last. Servers are delightful and the atmosphere is lovely. My only complaint is that it’s a little loud. Not the music, just the crowd noise but it’s not nearly as bad as some other places.

Was excited to surprise my mother for her bday dinner but was disappointed with the food. The ambience and interior decor is fantastic but I came for the food not the furniture. Server was kind to re-seat us from the high table due to condensation dripping from the ceiling. Wine choices and apps were pleasant. Entrees is where it went south. Table side fettuccine- presentation 10/10 – taste was unbearably salty. Bucatini- 5/10 (pasta itself was great but again salty). Pasta with the lobster (15% of the lobster was undercooked and the pasta was salty). The half chicken was good.

I’d give it 4.5 stars if that were an option. The atmosphere, cocktails and service are to die for. We started at the bar; the bartender obviously cared very much to make deliciously crafted cocktails to please the patrons and does a fantastic job at that. We noted it was our anniversary on our reservation so when we were seated they provided us with champagne to celebrate. Our server was wonderful and gave us great recommendations for wine to pair with our meals. I give the food a 3 due to inconsistency. The beets and goat cheese app is amazing, but we were underwhelmed by our entrees. My husband got the steak, which was pretty good. But the biggest disappointment was the seafood pasta. The seafood was overcooked, while the pasta was uncooked. Overall though, we had an excellent time and we will be back. I saw several tables order the table side prepared fettuccine which looked wonderful that I would like to try next time.

We’ve been really excited to try Botanya. We were bummed to be so let down.

The staff was SO attentive and the food was AMAZING. Atmosphere was stunning and we couldn’t have asked for a better dinner. We got the Carbonara table side and Cordon Bleu to split between us and it was a great experience. The food was mouthwatering. Will definitely return.

I had been so excited to try this place and was unfortunately pretty disappointed. We went in for just drinks and shared snacks. The cocktails were ok. Presentation was good. Mussels were great. The big disappointment was the ravioli that after one bite we didn’t finish. The server didn’t bother asking why we didn’t eat it when he took it away. It tasted like the filling was rancid and had gone bad. $20 ravioli we didn’t get to eat. I’m glad we got to finally try it, it’s just too bad it wasn’t a great experience. The only thing I’d say was worth the price was the mussels (which were supposed to come with crustini that we didn’t get).

The food was fresh and well prepared but honestly, left a lot to be desired. When paying the prices for the food they are offering, I expected to be absolutely blown away. But the pasta not being cooked to perfection in a pasta based restaurant was pretty upsetting, the flavor was at least…expected. The croquettes tasted mainly of lightly seasoned potato which was a little misleading to be named prosciutto and Parmesan. The Brussels sprouts were very crispy but mostly very burnt. The sauce was much better than my pasta, wouldn’t have finished the dish if it weren’t for the sauce. The chicken breast peice was amazing but the thigh was disgusting, they prepared them different ways. The best part of dinner, in my opinion, was the cocktails. It seems very different, but the pesto sour is to die for!! Atmosphere is also very very nice.
