This was my first time trying this place after looking at pictures for a while saying “dang I really need to try this place and it’s black owned!?” Well, I finally got to try it after working a long nursing shift and my wife asked me to bring something home. I ordered online and the food was ready as soon as I got there so that was a positive. However, when I got home and we began to eat is when the negative experience came in. I had the smoked Robinson (picture attached) and it was not melted you can see the shreds of cheese still. And my wife had the duval sisters and the cheese was not melted on it either and it just taste like all onions not really bacon jam. The tomato soup tasted so bland with no flavor or anything. Reminded me more of canned tomato soup instead of homemade. Won’t be eating here again unfortunately.

Cheddar Jackson has great vegan panini options. They’re big and filling. The flavor is on point too.

this place is SO good. The sandwiches are made with heart and it shows. I got the one with pimento cheese and jalapenos and absolutely devoured it ! My partner got the vegan cheese and pepperoni one and was also a huge fan. You could tell the man making the food loves what he does and he was so friendly. We are visiting from Fl but if we lived nearby would absolutely frequent this place

We were in town for a wedding and staying at a nearby Air B&B right down the street. I ordered food online and went to pick it up.

Good Afternoon! Came by Cheddar Jackson for lunch. I ordered a Smoked Robinson, and my partner had a Fat Boy Basquiat. They serve Boylan Soda Products, and Mexican Coca Cola as well. The Smoked Robinson had Gouda and Country Ham, it was lighter on the stomach than the Roast Beef and Cheese of the Basquiat. I didn’t taste much of the Hot Honey Dijon sauce on the Smoked Robinson. The Fat Boy Basquiat was very good we opted to get it with red onion as well which gave it a bit more flavor with the Roast Beef, Cheese, and Horse Radish Sauce. My favorite part was the way the bread was handled, it wasn’t over saturated in garlic butter or a version of Texas toast. It was slightly brushed buttered and placed in a panini press. With our orders we also got pasta salad, a blueberry muffin, and a chocolate chip cookie. All of which were good and a nice treat. Now the part of this experience that wasn’t so pleasant, was the wait and the music. The store has a vibe of a retro diner with a modern twist, but there is very limited seating. The music coming right out over customers is Reggae, but not just any Reggae like some pretty vulgar stuff. Which is fine in your own time, but when you are waiting for food, hearing a song about personal interaction with female genitalia doesn’t help with a person’s appetite. No where in the entirety of the store do I see island inspired or in the menu. Bless the chef’s heart, because you can tell she puts love in every sandwich but the speed of the kitchen is on island time. The sense of urgency isn’t there until your order is literally the only thing left.

I love these grilled cheese sandwiches. The bread is perfectly buttered and crunchy/soft. The meats are seasoned with love and thr tomato dipping soup chefs kiss delicious.

First, the coolest little place. Second, the best vegan flexibility for meals! Third, fast and friendly service with super kindness. Fourth, a small family owned business – much better to support than Starbucks, etc. Absolutely perfect in every way. ❤️

Food was hot & fresh. I ordered the ham & cheese add bacon. It came with other stuff, but I should’ve got it plain . The staff was friendly it was just two gentlemen. I really wasn’t satisfied with the price, but I’m not a panini person either. This is just my personal experience, but if you like to eat healthy then go for it! To me it was 20 for a panini, bag of chips, & bottle of water. Also, tiny place. Recommend take out.

My first visit was disappointing. My dining companion ordered a mango mimosa that tasted like juice minus the alcohol. When she addressed the issue, the lady admitted that she put too much juice in the drink. The owner refused to add the required amount of alcohol to make the make the drink taste the Right way. Who wants to pay $10.00 for a cup of juice? Needless to say, this was my first and last visit. By the way, the panini was tasty.
