From the food to the outstanding service- everything was top notch. We stumbled across this gem while walking around Downtown Mt. Dora. I got the veggie burger. My mom and uncle got the beyond and impossible burgers. You can tell they make everything in house. The burgers were loaded with toppings and the potatoes tasted so fresh and were nicely seasoned. They even had pictures of some of the food items near their registered which helped my autistic uncle pick out his meal. Love the inclusivity. Will be back again to try the other vegan options available because there are A LOT. From homemade empanadas to homemade deserts and everything in between.

I am going to try to put into words what my heart and taste buds feel after my visit today. I am a vegan and have always struggled to find options when wanting to go out to eat other than a salad. I feel absolutely overjoyed having found Dark & Light Cafe. They have SOOOO many options! And there are options for our friends who partake in a traditional American diet as well. Today I tried the bruschetta and a veggie burger. I was blown away with the mouth watering experience I had. The bruschetta was fresh, perfectly toasted, and I loved the arugula on top. The burger had the most amazing sauce with it and another perfectly crisp bun. And it came with a side of beautiful potato wedges. Their pricing was fair too!! I feel completely obsessed with this restaurant. There are so many more things I want to try and I will be visiting quite often for quite a while without ever having to repeat an order. If you are looking for a delicious bite, you HAVE to try this place! You will not be disappointed. The owners are absolutely the nicest people you will meet as well. Which is just icing on the cake!!! I hope they stick around for many years to come!

Finally a vegan spot in Mt. Dora! We happened to stumble upon this on Happy Cow. We were always so disappointed that Mt. Dora doesn’t have great vegan options… until now! The chef and staff are incredibly welcoming. The food is fresh and made with vegan love. My boyfriend and I were so happy to eat here. We can’t wait to go back. XOXO

Downtown Mt. Dora just got a new gem. This restaurant is great. The food is delicious and the owners are very kind and accommodating. They have a nice variety of food (Vegan/Vegetarian) that is made with the best ingredients. I recommend anyone to eat here if you want a healthier and delicious alternative while visiting this town.

Run don’t walk to “Dark & Light Cafe”. The staff are extremely nice & friendly & very sweet. It is located in a place where there is shared space with other business, but very cute. The food is made to order and made from scratch, including the salad dressing. I had thr black bean quesadilla, a spinach empanada, and a ginger walnut salad.
