I thought the food was good, but as someone who is Greek and cooks lots of Greek food, I couldn’t give it 5 stars. I got the chicken pita gyro lunch special. To me, the chicken wasn’t very flavorful. They douse it with tzatziki, which was good. It came with a salad, which I thought was very good. All the vegetables were fresh and the dressing was very tasty. I got 2 soups to go, the avgolemono and the lentil. They both tasted like they were from a can. I’m not sure. Summer is not the time for soup, but I wanted to try it anyway. I live in an area in Texas where there is not a Greek restaurant to be found unless you travel 3 hours away. So naturally, I had to stop in when passing through. I’m glad I did. I loved the ambiance. The service was great and the food was good overall.

It’s a really cheap place to have Greek food. Meal is quite good for such price. But the inside of course is not nice. Not very clean, looks very cheap. I don’t very like that style of ordering and serving when you order at cashier’s, they cook it and then you get by yourself your trays with food. But I should tell that their feta fries are excellent. Olives too. All the other I’ve tried is very average.

I go here when in the mood for Greek food. Often I get the Dieters Plate which is very healthy with chicken, fresh vegetables, and salad. Every time I visit it seems like the restaurant does a lot of take out as well. I like how the place is decorated with scenes from Greece. I’ve been to Santorini and it makes me want to go back! Until then, I can visit Demo’s for Greek food 🙂

Ate here for the first time 10 months ago and had a very good first experience. Ate here again a couple of weekends ago. Food was even better this time. We also tried the feta fries for the first time on the side. They were excellent! Definitely do not need more than one order of those for two people, as it’s a lot. Great experience!

I started eating Demos when I was stationed here in 2007-2010. It became my go-to for comfort food, and ultimately my standard for Greek food. It’s still just as good. I am back in San Antonio and eat here on a regular basis again. It’s still the same.

Food is great, employees are wonderful, and the establishment is extremely clean. However, the noise level is unbelievably loud. Sitting close to the register and we couldn’t hear who was being called. I noticed it wasn’t only my family. I honestly had a headache after waiting for our food. Fortunately, we did order it to go.

I really like the Demo’s on the St. Mary’s strip, but the Vineyard location is consistently mediocre. Been here several times and the food is decent but never great. The wait time also always seems to be long, even when there are few guests.

I ordered dolmas and french fries at work. As a vegan, I’m unsure if their vegetarian options might contain meat broth, which could be an issue. Additionally, the overall healthiness of the food was questionable. Unfortunately, I ended up with food poisoning after consuming the meal. Don’t order anything from this restaurant.
