I’ve been getting food from there for about 10 years now and up until today I’ve enjoyed it. The baked mostaccioli was cold and the young lady there seemed to not have a clue about prices. Her excuse for it being cold was the cook was new. Then she goes to say I asked everyone in here if it’s cold and they said no but anyone who has ever been to Doreen’s knows that they put cardboard under their pastas because it’s hot and this pasta I received you could hold it with the palm of your hand and the cheese on top wasn’t even melted.

Update 3-21-23: We decided to try them again and it was well worth it! We ordered mostly sandwiches and pizza. The monster burger was enormous and quite good! All other items were very good as well. The sausage pizza was classic thin crust with the corn meal or whatever on the bottom. I prefer my pizza that way. After a shaky start, I will be frequenting this place more often for sure. Thank you Doreen’s!

An institution in Hegewisch, along with the place across the street, Steve’s Lounge. Hmm, I wonder if I could eat at both in one day? Try their specialty pizzas; they are truly scrumptious! The staff is the friendliest and most competent of any pizza place I’ve been to. And they have coupons and Doreen’s dollars!

This dump of a place is very bad when it comes to manners. The worst place I’ve ever had to deal with when it comes to personnel. No courtesy what so ever! They took 2 hrs to deliver a pizza. They didn’t want to reimburse me. They gave me $10 credit. So I ordered 2 2liters of soda and it was $10 for both 2 liters and they STILL charged me to deliver the sodas. Also, their pizza wasn’t all that great. It’s VERY flimsy thin crust. It is very bland! I wouldn’t call it a pizza. Their excuse was “We have a new person”. Lame excuse! People, save your time & money. Any place else Is literally better than this place. Do you want way better pizza? Go to Capri’s Pizza in Whiting Indiana on 117 Calumet Ave. Now THAT’S good pizza!!! You won’t be disappointed!! Lots of REAL cheese! Authentic Italian Sausage! Thick crust! Fresh vegetables! It’s so thick it’s HEAVY! Great sauce!

Orders a medium stuffed pizza, delivery. Over an hour later, the pizza came. The diver called my phone before he even came to the door which I thought was weird, but when we finally opened the box, the pizza has clearly been dropped, or tipped over. We tried to salvage what we could, sauce tasted terrible, and the crust was NOT cooked. Tried to call and was going to drive it back, but kept getting put on hold. They have definitely went down in quality. Also missing items in order as well.
