This is one of my favorite Chinese food restaurants. This place is so good. I live down the block and I’m here like every 2 weeks. I can’t seem to stay away. The food is beyond amazing. The flavor the taste all of it. It is so so good I can honestly eat it everyday if I could. The service as well is so amazing. They’re so friendly and kind and sweet I love coming in here. I Can honestly say this is the best Chinese restaurant if you’re in Chicago in general. way more authentic and better than most Chinese restaurants even in China town. The lady is very nice who takes the orders. And I Order from here at least 3 times a month lol

This is one of my happy place, food wise ! The egg rolls are insanely good. The egg foo young is delicious guilt on a plate. And the fried rice,well…makes you wish everyday was a cheat day. If you love not just like spicy,ask for the secret hot sauce ( ). Great food,even better service!

I am new to the area and have been looking for tasty places and neighborhood businesses (because a lot of times these are where the hidden gems are!). I was drawn to the reviews because I was looking for orange chicken-I saw really good reviews about so I gave it a shot. My husband and I were so disappointed with the orange chicken 🙁 ! It was NOT good at all. It was dry, not chicken thighs and the sauce was okay but the chicken tasted like skin-on dried unseasoned chicken. We ordered egg rolls (veggie only-and taste better warmed later on but are soggy), crab ragoons -good but bite sized for 6; with barely any cream cheese, orange chicken (which was not good) and mongolian beef (this was the best dish which is why I gave it a 3 star rating as opposed to 1-2). Total was $43 for this, as prices have increased. It is a casual pick up, cash-only place, quick easy to order. But other reviews about orange chicken are noooot accurate, not the best orange chicken! Not really reccomended to dine in, street pay by plate parking only.

Very few restaurants in this area serving up old school, traditional Chinese food. Love the combination fried rice, Mongolian beef and egg rolls. I need to venture out and try other items. Cash only, best around. Highly recommend.

If you want good frashly cooked lunch for under $10, you won’t find anywhere in Chicago. Dragon Gete is jam of city. I suggest any dish with chicken, umm umm good. Oh it cash only.

I was debating whether to give Dragon Gate 4 or 5 stars. The food is pretty tasty, but damn, it’s not an easy place to do business with. They don’t have a website or online menu, they don’t have a paper carry out menu, you can’t order online, they don’t deliver, and they don’t take credit cards. It’s a bit of a pain in the rump to order from here, but it’s really the only good Chinese take out place that’s close to where I live. So, I’ll give it 5 stars for the food. Message to owner: Please enter the 21st century!! I’ve posted a picture of their current menu and prices as of November 2022.

Talk about FAST. We had our order within 20 minutes. Two entrees, some eggrolls, extra rice and a Coke WITH tip was less than $30. They lady was super nice to us. They only take cash as payment.

I have grew up with this food and I would always look forward to stopping by here and there since I don’t live as close as I used too. My family and I started eating at this restaurant in 2006 and we have NEVER turned back. No one can compare to their fried rice and chicken. This is the BEST Chinese restaurant in Chicago and might I say in the Midwest. Anytime i travel i long to come back and order from this small family owned business. Their prices are amazing and affordable and the quality of the food is astounding!! No one can compare!!!
