First off, try to be patient. Your food will come, and the good news is it will be delicious! They make their own tortillas here, and they are amazing! The service wasn’t great, but our server seemed a little overwhelmed or something. It wasn’t really busy, so I’m not exactly sure why we had to ask for our chips & salsa three times before they arrived at the table. However, they were fresh & hot & perfect. So when you go, just be patient. Your food will arrive and it will be a wonderful thing.

This place is totally authentic. Amazing mole and hand made tortillas. The server was so friendly and we talked a lot about the origins of the dishes. I thing he’s the son of the owner. BYOB. Nice atmosphere. Mexican music playing.

Tacos were great partly due to the nice handmade corn tortillas. This place stands out among the many taquerias on Clark.

This place is awesome! My first time her and let me tell you. The tables are comfortable for two and chairs are movable for us heavy set guys. I ordered the Jamaica water xtra large and they brought it in this cool jaron called el buchon. And the tacos were amazing! Home made tortillas and the taste was delicious!

Delicious, authentic – the sabor de Puebla. I was with 2 women friends and we were seated in a back corner when the restaurant was virtually empty.

Amazing food!!! It’s family owned and the mole is one of the best things on the menu. Also the pambazos are amazing! I had the champurrado which was good as well. Definitely will be coming back.

This is a great place! The inside is decorated in a very welcoming way, I love the chandeliers and napkin holders. The server/owner was extremely friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home. The meal was delicious, I had the mole and homemade tortillas. This is a really nice family owned place, worth a visit!

What a giant disappointment! I ordered the mole rojo and although the mole is delicious, it was served over a small sad, drumstick, rice and “tamales de ceniza” I didn’t know what they were. I thought they were regular tamales, but they’re not. They can only be described as weird pieces of masa. There is NO filling. And they were old and stale. They were hard and disgusting. It was inedible. I also ordered a weird triangle thing with cheese and it was also cold and hard. I tried calling the restaurant, to get a refund, but the phone is disconnected. I have never been hungry, after eating Mexican food, in my life and this is a first. I definitely DON’T recommend this place. There are far better Mexican food places, in the neighborhood, and for a better price. Never again.
