Let’s start with the fact that the ENTIRE MENU is dairy-free!!!! On top of THAT, the vegan/plant-based options are PLENTIFUL and DELICIOUS! The food can be a bit expensive, but it’s worth EVERY PENNY! Honestly, for the quality of food and the cost, this place should be marketed and staged as a fine-dining restaurant. One of the best restaurants in Richmond, HANDS-DOWN and it’s HEALTHY! We went for brunch and dinner, and neither meal disappointed! My favorite meal was the vegan lemon ricotta waffle with the fried oyster mushrooms! The waffle was TENDER and the oyster mushrooms were flavorful and crispy! The biscoff cheesecake and milkshake were five-star quality as well!

I sincerely want this restaurant to do well and it has great potential. I love the concept of this restaurant. Richmond NEEDS this. The okra rice..YOU MUST try if you like Okra because it’s simply magical. I must admit that I had high expectations because of the restaurants name and price point. Good location, the space could be cozy, classy and high end if designed properly with minimal investment. Currently the look is dated, it’s basically a lackluster, cheaply decorated space and the seating arrangement is awkward. The food is decent, and tasty. Good ingredients were used. I love the fact that there are a few vegan options. The host was welcoming. The chef was very warm, generous and accommodating. Service was a little slow but worth the wait. Portion size is appropriate for fine dining. I will definitely visit again.

My wife and I have been excited to try this restaurant out since they opened. We are a huge fan of Chef Theresa’s cooking. The restaurant is very inviting and our server was very personable and attentive. Our food was delivered to our table and the presentation was 10/10. Chef personally came by our table to make sure everything was good. For starters I had the Smoked Creamy Stuffed Oysters, which were delicious. I had the Suya Lambchops as an entree. My sides were the grilled broccolini and sweet potato puree. Everything was cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. Definitely support this business – highly recommended!!

This spot is an amazing restaurant PERIOD. It takes it to another level for me because it’s a black family owned business. The flavor of every dish that comes from the kitchen is infused with flavorful sophistication and soul. The infusion of West African flavors in the oyster appetizer and the salmon entree left me speechless. Even the Happiness tea with agave, mango sorbet served in a pineapple, and Iberian donuts for dessert surpassed my expectations. This experience had me craving a daily seat at Chris, Theresa, Tati’s (family owners) dinner table.
