Visit the restaurant located in Moore haven right next to the Court House on 27. for a dine in experience. Or, visit our mobile food truck located in Lakeport on SR 78. Restaurant Friday, Saturday and Sunday only. Our Lakeport food truck is Friday and Saturday only. Come check us out at either spot. You won’t be disappointed.

We got jerk chicken and brisket with potatoe salad and cabbage. It was soooo awesome!! The best food out of a food truck we have tried yet!!!! You do not know what you are missing if you don’t try this place!!!!! The Best BBQ So far we have tried around this area or around our home area. Yall gotta stop by !!!!!!!!! Plus worth every penny you pay for it:-) and yes they are open in the food truck!!!!

Finally had the opportunity to eat at this restaurant. Took forever to eat here because they are legit never open. This is a huge reason this town struggles to keep a restaurant in business. People get frustrated and never know when they can go. So they go to a restaurant that is consistent with the hours. The hours on google are not accurate btw. The food is very mediocre. Everything but the meat is purchased from Wal Mart in the plastic cups. At least that is what it taste like. I could be wrong on that but it taste like it.

Food was good. We went I. For a quick appetizers. They have limited menu, so we just shared a pork sandwich plate with 2 sides $12.95 slaw and cabbage both delicious. Strawberry lemonade too. They just opened April 1st, so still new, but doing great. Loved the decor too.

Had A Bad First Experience . Decided To Go Again For a Second Time A Few Months Later & Was Disappointed Again . The Mac & Cheese Is Terrible & Bland To Cost So Much . The Ribs Are SUPER Tender But No Seasoning . The Baked Beans Taste Straight From A Can , Just Heated Up . I Also Got a side of potatoe Salad And The Potatoes Are Not Done . They Are hard And Starchy . Hoping They Can Work Out The Few Kinks So They Can Cherish In business . But For This To Be South Bar B Q . You Would Hope For More Seasoned And Cooked Food

Wow! Came over from Okeechobee to just kinda visit the area today and stopped by Elsie Mae’s Old South BBQ to take back some eatings back to Okeechobee! It was some of the best BBQ that I have experienced! Everything was absolutely delicious! I met the owner who was directly involved in every aspect of her new business which just opened up on April 1st as a restaurant in Moore Haven, Florida! Her place was just right for people to enjoy their order and she personally chatted to each customer while I was there! For a restaurant that just opened 3 weeks ago…”Top Shelf” is what I say! I did a “take out” and while driving back, the aroma of my order was making me almost drooling…once home and eating, I was in Paradise with my order…that’s how good it was! The quality as well as the quantity was really amazing…I will be back for sure!!! Thanks for a very delicious BBQ and I give my personal Blessings to Elsie Mae’s Old South BBQ…you will do great!

Fabulous Food, it seems that in most barbecuers quest to be the best they overwhelm you with their rubs,sauce, smoke,ect..etc.. not here, every flavor comes though in one of the most satisfying experiences a person should be able to with their food. I’ve had the rids,brisket and pulled pork,all of which were top notch. This is fantastic place for dine in or take out…Try it

$70 worth of food and less than half was edible… very disappointed to drive 20 minutes back home to a rib plate with one piece of rib and a ton of fat, same with the brisket. Not going to last long if this is what people get for $70. Not sure how to add photos to this post so if you go to the photos tab you will see what I’m talking about.

Where to start saying HOW AWFUL this place is???? The food was leftover from maybe Friday or Saturday because I know the jerk chicken WAS NOT FRESHLY BBQ. The cabbage looked like it was leftover from several days ago….tasted like straw the one SMALL bite I tried…potato salad from the takeout containers from Wal-Mart. My friends ribs already had some kinda of yellow BBQ sauce on them and were so GREASY. Macaroni and cheese from Kraft dinner box and cole slaw from Wal-Mart takeout container. Barely made it back home before stomach became tore up and spent rest of Sunday afternoon in with stomach cramps. WILL NOT be back..sad to say this place is giving the name that use to stand for EXCELLANT BBQ a bad taste in people’s mind.
