Affordable, delicious, friendly service with english speaking staff and english menu. Has a hole in the wall feel but cozy with the booth seats. We’ve tried both delivery and dine-in and had excellent food. Going there for the 3rd time in 3 weeks! That’s how addictive this place is and because they have such a large menu, we’re having fun exploring new dishes every time we eat from here.

During lunch hours, you can get a whole meal here for under $10. The staff were very nice and accommodating + the restaurant vibe felt very cozy. Food was tasty and proportions were great (especially the dumplings). Would definitely come back again.

I haven’t been back to this spot since homestyle taste closed but I stopped in today after hearing it’s pretty similar. I ordered the spicy sour sliced potatoes and chive shrimp pork dumplings (boiled). Both dishes were some of the best renditions I’ve ever had in a restaurant. The sliced potatoes had a nice wok hei flavor and the boiled dumplings filling was flavorful (I didn’t even need dipping sauce) and the dumpling skin was perfectly al dente. The waitress who took care of me on Tuesday was very kind and efficient. Tea is not initially offered but they will give you complimentary jasmine tea if asked. I will be back to try out more dishes!

Their food is so delicious. The meats and vegetables in their dishes are always well cooked, well seasoned, and taste fresh. The dumplings are great but their entrees are just as great. The Da Pan Ji (braised chicken with peppers and potatoes with wide noodles) is so good.

Wow the food is actually really good here. I came in on a Tuesday afternoon and it was mostly empty (perfect during the pandemic). I was seated promptly. Ordered Mongolian beef, a couple bowls of rice, and a soy milk. Mongolian beef was tender, juicy, and savory. Just a slight kick which is exactly how I like it. White rice was halfway between perfectly wet steamy and dry arid. Could use a bit more water so it stays soft for longer. They had soy milk! Both hot and cold varieties! Ordered it cold. Just right for sweetness and so cold and good.

Food was amazing, ordered the shrimp lo mein and it was not over saturated in soy sauce like other places. Service was good as was the other food.

DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU MELANIN. I absolutely read the reviews before I left the third floor of my walk up building on the East Side to go here. Once I got there I should have left when she told me they don’t serve egg foo young. I know it’s Americanized Chinese. Any way I ordered, left and came back. My food was ready. Once I got home, I looked at the food made a plate which consisted of shrimp fried rice, crab Rangoon, and sweet-and-sour chicken. The rice was not hot. The rice was actually cold the shrimp in the rice was fried and was breaded it was not good. The sweet-and-sour sauce was in the container, and that was cold and tasted like catsup. The only thing that was hot was the chicken for the sweet-and-sour chicken the crab Rangoon was not hot. This place is not good. I do not recommend it. They staple the bag so I couldn’t see that I didn’t get Soy sauce. Last but not least the shrimp fried rice was dry. Thank you.

Food is good, most people only take away. We ate there. Everything was good, until the credit card reader didn’t have wifi. So I gave a credit card and then I was asked, if I have cash. I asked the lady, that she can try with another card. Then she said in a highly refusing tone ‘Cash, cash!’ . I don’t think that’s the way you treat a customer. Hopefully she reads that.

Dumplings are good. They don’t go easy on the spice (not even for white folks such as myself), so I’d say that’s pretty solid.
